Round 5 Back up plans..
In Silvers absence due to PC problems, a back up plan for Round5 is on the table.

This is the proposed plan for the event, any problems with this please post today so we can discuss..there is not much time to prepare.

All oneGP teams should see this post at oneGP forum.

Race Director

NDR's Dekojester who is race director of the Kyoto500, 250 and LFSBC has offered to stand in as Race Director for Round5.

I have worked with Deko a few times and hes a very competant Race Controller. One of the best around.

A big thank you to Deko! for standing in for Silver and giving up his time to support oneGP.

Server Change.

FRO|formularacing|#1 server is set up for the event.

Passwords for Saturdays race will be posted here in the oneGP forum later today in this thread.

TeamSpeak.

Deko has asked if drivers would/could use TeamSpeak for the event, this makes Race Control far easier than messages on screen for all.

For those that can use TeamSpeak, please log into FRO's TS server for the event. You do not need to talk, just be able to listen to control messages and this will greatly help Deko in Race Admin.

This is a request by Deko and would greatly help him to control the event.

FRO TeamSpeak server details..
Server Name: FormulaRacing.Org
IP ADDY: 85.17.253.16
Port: 8771

Safety Car

We need a safety car driver or to abandon the safety car rule for this event.

I am still awaiting response to messages asking for help, so will update asap on the SC driver situation. If anyone is available, please let it be known. The SC rule was not used in Round 1 and was only partially enforced last round. It is far better in my personal opinion to run the race with no SC rather than risk using unproven, untested SC scenario's.

Drivers stuck in the sandtrap's of T1 can be pitted by Race Control and it is likely that most 'crashes' during the race will see minor object collision damage to cars that require drivers to drive to the pits causing local Yellow Flag situations in drivable cars.

Post Race Appeals.

In order to maintain the efficiency of process and meet the rules of Appeal decisions there needs to be a panel change to make sure decisions are final within 24hrs of the event.

The proposed Appeal's panel for this event will change due to Silvers absence. The three members of the panel will be (it is proposed)

NDR Dekojester (standing in for Silver as Race Controller)
NDR Joseph (Jo is already on the appeals panel)
YFB TFalke ( Addition to the panel and admin of the LFSCART series)

Final post race results and appeal decisions will be posted 24hrs after close of Appeals window. Replay's of Qualification and Race will be posted within the hour after the event.

Surviving Turn 1

Please drivers, be careful at T1 in the race, there is no room for error and a crash from a car in front will most likely collect a number of cars behind if in T1 or the T2 chicane. In practice races, it is critical to go through these first turns carefully and almost impossible to ''race'' these first two corners!

The race is 57 laps! not 500 meters and the winner will come from the drivers who are able to stay on track without damages, please therefore be careful at T1 and T2 to avoid 1st lap drama's.

The slightest touch will send you into the sandtrap and out of the race. Leave room to cars in front, as they have to react to cars in front of them and there is almost no room or time to avoid accidents here. Do some practice racing, even off line with the AI to make sure your aware of the risks.

A single trip to the pits to fix damaged wings will cost you a lap on this track.

A big, big thank you from all drivers and teams in oneGP goes to NDR Dekojester for standing in at this late stage in race control.

Best, Maz
