If you reset your car next to the fence in some areas of the Oval you'll get stuck on the fence / outside of the track.

Yup, it resets your car to gate where you are usually.

Here is a picture. I wanted to complain about the same thing. There is no way to get back on track, you have to go to the pits if this happens.
