seems some sort of deja vu, i was explained its an error of memory, actually i hear the word and AFTER i think it but feel it like before, but something doesnt fit:

the word is there because of the stream of counciousness, for example:

its hot, id like to take a bath, id like to go to the beach, i hope its not too crowded, but if the SUN is out it will be. then i hear somehwere the word sun, and this has happened to me sometimes 30 times a day

actually not only do i think the word sun 2 seconds before i hear it but besides the origine of the thought which lead to that word might have started 10 seconds before with which id have to make a mistake in my brain of 12 seconds

hell if that was the answer i would not be able to hold a conversation

noit to mention premonitory dreams which most people has had

besides its a proved fact that a signal takes 1 second to reach brain and another second to be articulated, that makes 2 seconds delay

do you imagine playing with 2000 ping, only way would be you could foresee 2 seconds into the future

If it was an unusual word (transmogrification or mythlchloroisothiazolinone or something) I'd accept that it could be projected thought, but your example word "sun" is so common that you can't expect that nobody is going to use it.

It's just because you're concious about the word and expect to hear it everywhere, so you suddenly also notice it everywhere. The same happens if you for example buy a new car and suddenly you notice every time someone else also drives that car brand/type.

Nah its coz you can think of words very fast so when they say like the first letter you think what words could corrospond here, so youve thought of the word before she has said it, i bet you can't say it before they do though

something similar happens to me, but almost everytime movie related. for no reason i just remember this movie i saw one time, and surprisingly a few days later there it is on tv.
