hello there,

I race a lot on the CTRA servers. but in a few classes like UF-BR and XRR, FXR, FZR GT2 u can't see you're PB because the cars have air reduction. you can only see ur PB on LFSworld but thats just without reductions.

So my improvement suggestion is. could you Add a code so we can see our CTRA PB on each track with each car? or a list with all cars you have driven on that track? ( like $track but then with y'r own times and maybe with diffrence of CTRA record times )

if i'm free to suggest i would take the Code: $pb.


i hope you think this is a good idea. i think it is!

Maybe you'd be better off focusing on racecraft rather than PB's?

It would be a nice addition, and it's definitely something I'd like to do, but it would require quite a bit of time to accomplish. It's time I don't have at the moment, but it's added to my "things to do when all is quiet" list.

yes well, watch the replay from behind my car and then ad a comment. it's done now so don't talk about me and my racing. think i'm one of the cleanest drivers around. as i see how many people crash and bump around. it was my first since beginning of CTRA

so please focus on this topic or don't say anything. mind y'r own buisness..

Guys, henrico and I have talked. henrico misunderstood the waved blue flag rule and has taken a big (I do mean really big) points penalty for it. That ought to be the end of it, please.

Okay, $pb seems to have settled in nicely and is working as expected. I took a bit of time out of my day to get this done, since it seemed a very good idea to implement it. When you're in a server, type $pb and it will give you your PB for the car you're in (or the last one you were using, in the server) on that track, with that layout. PBs are per driver, per car, per track and per track layout (mostly Standard, some CTRA and a bunch of Bump n Jump layouts).

Before anyone asks why it hasn't recorded their PB, though, I'll say that this is a CTRA PB and it's a bit special in that it will only record a PB in races that you finish. PBs are written to the database at THAT time, no other.

I'll write the MyCTRA side of the CTRA PB another time.. I just wanted to get this written up into the current X-System.

Just added PBs to the MyCTRA page. I reckon that should be good for now. Later, I'll go back and add an in-server PB announcement for new CTRA PBs. It's probably better if I don't add it straight away.. that would be a bit of a burden on the servers and on everyone's eyes at this point. Let's get some PBs into the database first, and then announce when they get beaten. Give it a week

Thanks a lot for this nice implention, I find it usefull and helpfull.

Two suggestions Sam, should the PB check you've completed 75% or more of race distance before being stored (anti-hotlap) and might it be wise to check the driver has done 100 laps or more on the combo before announcing a pb otherwise it'll be like running in an LFS Lapper server.

Though I have to say i've never seen the merit of pb's getting announced, I dont like it, it's spam, and it's no place to be there - but if it's what you want then go for it. Just, please, I find it ruddy annoying to get a load of server spam I dont care about - I wrote that system to not spam for a deliberate reason - please be careful with it!

Yes please, I find pb's are stored pretty well on LFSW.

Not too bothered about pb's for GTR2's, UFBR, CTRA layouts etc

CTRA is for racing, end of.

Having put some thought into it, displaying a [PB] tag on the $results screen strikes me as a good way of displaying PB information without spamming the server.
