im addicted and can never thank you guys enough. hated drifting, now i love it and i'm currently building a drift car! hope it really is that realistic for my cars sake!

Pretty much re-iterating what everyone else has said, but still...

• Driving physics - no other game can compare IMO
• Close, online, realistic racing - how online is so smooth it could be offline
• Variety of cars and track - much more exciting than the same old things over and over
• Skinnable cars - make them look how you want
• The ease of tuning car setups - to make the car feel how you want
• Superb graphics - with relatively little impact on FPS.
• Finally, the devs, and the way we, the LFS users, can get in contact with them and report any bugs directly to them. Also, development progress - hardly any other games are under constant devlopment the same way LFS is.

Basically, I love it. I've tried many other games but always always always come back to LFS. Without fail.

LFS with full grid of learning drivers that are not randomly brake testing each other, on a server built in 1991 with a 33.3k modem maybe, but i dont see that many space collisions TBH with the type of vehicles i use, and yes like you say its down to lag to an extent & speed of impact and area.
You should know this.

I would say for quite a percentage, but i could be wrong, that LFS is adequate, and quite beautiful in places.
Also just to add, Velociround posted in this, and like myself, he is talking about his experience not yours.

Elderado, I love the can of Beer in the racing cockpit. Really puts drinking and driving in a new perspective lol.

What I love about LFS is the pick-up races. Just a few clicks and you're off to the races, literally. Also, the physics are amazing, the cars actually have inertia, unlike all other racing games. The lack of "eye candy" is also a good thing as I want to race, not be distracted by shiny things. Finally, I love that the game is continuously under development. Sure, I'd like to see it finished, but I like being part of this long development process, and someday we'll all be looking back on the development of LFS and reminisce about the time the MRT was added, or the time skid marks were added, or the time the BF1 was added, or the time clutch temp was added. I say, devs, take your time. I'm just along for the ride, but I've been enjoying it so far. Keep the good time rolling.

Minus:

• Not enough cars, I would like to get more GTR cars
• No real cars
• Not enough tracks
• No much of choices in weather selecting
• Not enough max cars on track
• Forcefeedback for me.
• Feel of driving, I just don't get it.
• Cruising servers
• Drifting, even if I like it sometimes
• I can't drive !
• It's maybe too expensive.. GTR2 is cheaper and good as lfs or even better

• No real cars - Apart from the Formula BMW, BMW Sauber F1, MRT and RAC
• Not enough max cars on track - How many is it now? 34?
• Cruising servers - Fair point, the only people that like them are cruisers!
• I can't drive ! - Quite obvious if you think the ffb is bad and the feel of driving is wrong. I expect you spend all your time driving on frozen lakes if you think GTR2 is more realistic and has better feel.
• It's maybe too expensive.. GTR2 is cheaper and good as lfs or even better - but its just GTR with nicer graphics, no other improvements, so infact you pay for GTR 1.1.


Don't complain or call me a fanboy, you didn't read the first post where I said to leave out the negative comments, at least in this 1 thread.

1. Physics, After LFS, every other game feels like driving a flying carpet.
2. Superb loading times.
3. Best online - just join, no downloading mods, adjusting settings etc *cough*Rfactor*cough*.
4. Community, LFS World etc.
5. Works well on lower end PC's.
6. Great Developer communication.
7. Great Tracks.

best game I've ever had the pleasure of playing because:

made lots of new mates online
great cars, making setups to suit you etc
great physics, no other game feels as real as LFS
you don't need to have a top-of-the-range gaming PC and related peripherals to play it
excellent online

i love LFS because :
1. U dont have to go to the shop to buy it.
2. its cheaper than a new game on the highstreet.
3. U get constant updates FREE unlike PC games E.G. COD4 - u had to pay for the extra maps.
4. U can meet people that live in ur country.
5. And the cars are easyer to handle than in NFS and TDU.

No need for a new thread just to cheer up the developers as this is not an open source program and they are already paid to develop it.

Buuuuut if you ask this is what I like about LFS:
-Best handling simulation out there.
-Best multiplayer game.
-Good controls.
-Realistic tracks.
-Damage engine*
-Sound*
-Moderated price.

Things I don't like:
-Oldish style graphics.
-Somewhat slow development.
-Damage engine needs to be improved.
-Sound needs to be improved.
-Licencist people against demo racers .

LFS is the best sim I know so far, after I started playing it I haven't played anything else!
