Sound Issues Xfi Card ?
hi all , anyone had a problem with the sound just cutting out during a race ?
if i go back to the pits and re start sometimes the sound comes back
or if the race has a restart the sound comes back ?

i have windows vista 64 , xfi extreme music sound card ?
help needed its driving me mad thanks keith
Did you try Shift + W?

yes i've tried that but no luck !
its strange because the sound will come back when you have a re start
or joining a new race ?
anyone got a fix for this
shift N?

Re-install lfs i guess.

Vista 64 + X-Fi used to create massive issues (Blame Creative!) - uninstall all your old X-Fi drivers and download the latest ones and install them.

FWIW, i'm running an X-Fi XtremeMusic + Vista x64 just fine in LFS.

anyone else use vista 64 and a xfi card ? with no problems !
if so what graphics card are you using ?

I have no idea what i'm using, but i remember this being an issue with the older drivers - all i can recommend is downloading the latest drivers.

I'm using an 8800GTX (and have used a 7950GT) with no problems. Can't see it being the GFX cards though.
thanks jakg !
i think its my sound card and drivers, but my pc maker thinks its an issue with my gfx card ? interferece etc in game so hes going to send me a new 280 gtx to try single gpu
i also have 4 gig of ram which ive heard is a problem with creative and vista
i'll let you know how i get on, if you hear of a possible answer to my problem please come back to me thanks keith

Might be worth trying to get the modded drivers from Daniel_K - although I really am out of my depth here.
thanks guys !

going to fit a new xfi card now from my pc maker ,should be delivered by tues, the old one may be faulty ?
if that fails , a bios update will be done
a have thought about the daniel k drivers so i'll give those a try if all else fails
thankyou keith
no problems now ?
did a bios flash on my motherboard and all is ok HOORAY ?
