To me it seems very accurate compared to that video, but I've also added little bit more caster and messed around with front suspension to kill some of that understeer. It does feel weird at first, but I think it's because the driving style is so different compared to Skippy.
I can't find out anywhere else and you guys seem to be into iRacing. Do I understand that there is no more Solstice rookie racing for the time being? I've bought the Radical and Silverstone along with a few other bits and the only option to race is the Radical at Silverstone! Frankly, I'm not ready for the Rad and was just getting to like, yes like, the Solstice. Am I consigned to the 'test' track? Just bought a years subscription too!
Once again I'm hoping of getting it tonight or tomorow... Been like a month I'm saying that but I told my dad and he's got the credit card ready. Just waiting for him to get home. Then he's gunna say he's tired so tomorow and then I'll forget and on and on it goes. :P
they do 12 week seasons or something, maybe 4 week seasons not really sure...I've only been on for 3 weeks, but they're approaching week 13 of the semi-invitation only public release.
Week 13 they always wanted to do some more awkward and fun series's. During week 13 irating and safety rating WON'T be affected during the races, but they still strongly encourage good racing.
Week 14 should start back up with the normal series such as the rookie and advanced solstices, and maybe a few new things they have yet to announce.
It's now downloading and it's taking 30 mins but keeps cutting ... Like I'm downloading and it says its done even though it isn't. Sucks that I can't download it with internet download manager...
If anyone knows how much the extra content is, the cars and tracks or if they all cost different prices, could someone tell me so i have a rough idea of what im looking at?
nice philip haha I knew it would be a bit goofy of a series...poor solstice drivers
What they REALLY need to do is add a super advanced solstice level...add the GXP model with the 240 horse, direct injected, turbo charged 4cylinder. Now that would be some good competition for the legend cars...(maybe)
I really love the radical now. I've made some setup adjustments throughout the day, somewhat haphazardly, but with great success. At the moment its twitchy, oversteery, and blazingly fast...it eats up the sweepers like I'd expect it to now.
The biggest thing I think was the tire pressure, less rear wing, increasing the caster, and I have it toed IN a notch...the toe is the latest adjustment, and changes everything. I tweaked the ARB also, I think less in the front...can't remember anymore haha
I don't quite know why toe in affected the car the way it did...toe in generally promotes understeer and stability in a straight line. It seemed to do the opposite.
I don't really care if its the fastest setup in the world either, I'm just driving it for my own entertainment since I don't own either of the tracks for the radical series.
Ok ok, if you have the latemodel, and you can hold a steady line, then you HAVE to try the racing at Lowes. It brought me back to the old NR2003 (and older) days. I started 13th, and kept it on the low line. I got some pics for you guys to drool over, all in 2560x1600 (Can't attach or upload that size ).
I need a bit of help. It told me to sign up using the name which is on the credit card. Which I did. But that is my dad's name. Is there a way I can change the name on my licence to mine?
Here's my Legends Laguna Seca set, I used the road setup as a base and balanced it out quite a bit. Brakes could some tweaking but should get you started.
Any of you guys in the next Solstice vs Legends race? 13:00 gmt that is.
I have 20 minutes more to practice with the legends car before chaos starts, hoping to see some familiar faces
