when I was young I had one of these books of hologram(actually it's called stereogram), there's actually two ways of doing it, a parallel way and a cross sighted way. (hard to explain without a diagram though!)

it amused me for a long long time!

example:



you have to intentionally put the image out of focus, things will appear as double vision, they will shift places horizontally and when two eggs/lizards overlap, you'll see a 3 D image.

i think with everybodys help i understand depth perception better, actually we havent lost it completely but the range is limited, with exercise with stereograms you can extend range of depth perception, ill get into exercises with stereograms, my main interest now is find a method of achieving enlightenment which i think can be done making both brain hemispheres work syncronized instead of one dominating the other, we are dual cpu, but we use mono all the time, you see an stereogram when the brain combines info from both hemispheres at the same time

I know you can pay big money to some professionals who claim they can teach you how to unlock your brain......... I think it's a scam though.

i can only guess what an enlightened person can do, but myself ive flown, ive predicted the future, ive cut a flying fly in two halves with a long knive so what could i do enlightened: see clealry the future see karma of my acts, people would stop behaving bad, it would be posible time travelling with the mind, flying, reading minds, no more lies

it would be posible develop an ideal socieaty whose only goal would be once finished suffering in the present, end suffering of the past

in fact if you can time travel you can change all past events except those which lead to that time trip to happen, but whats more you could make a pantomine of those events as long as the person who makes the time trip is not aware, so if time travel is ever posible theres a strong posibility history is a pantomine to skip paradoxes

This is maybe off topic, but have to ask, enlightment - what does it mean? Does it mean a great understanding, seeing.. I don't quite get the meaning of the word

i dont really know what enlightenement is, from a religious point of view youd remember all your past lifes and stop reincarnation cycle, though there are bodi sabats i think its spelled whos people who got enlightened but come back to cycle of reincarnation to help others free as well

i think its in switzerland where is located the CERN the biggest particle accelerator of the world, they were this summer to simulate an instant right after the bigbang, the experiment was due in june, i think we got away with creating a microblcak hole that would have killed this planet

What you mention about the german trying to get objects turn into gold ain't too unfamiliar for me neither, I definitively heared something about that some time ago, can't remember where.

I have nothing to really add to this but to say, distance/depth perception is easier with 2 eyes but not impossible with one eye. I know this to be true because I have near pefect eyesight in my right eye but really bad eye sight in my left eye (For this size text to be in focus I would have to sit a couple of inches from my monitor). So I have come to rely on my better sighted right eye and I have no problem with depth perception. For driving I wear glasses as it would be silly to risk but for everything else, such as ball sports, I can get away with not wearing glasses. My only problem comes when, for example, someone throws a tennis ball to me from my left and it is out of my field of view of my right eye then I usually will not be able to catch it as I simply don't see it until it too close for me to react to catch it.
