S2 auto-lock problem
Hello! I have a problem with LFS: everytime I exit the game, S2 is deleting my username and password and it locks. I tried a lot of things, I mail to devs but non could help me. In a mail, Vic told me that:
"reboot pc
unlock LFS
immediately quit LFS and reboot pc."
I tried that to and doesen't worked.
Then I deleted LFS, and installed a fresh copy. I tried what Vic said and it worked... for 1 day. Next day I open the P.C., S2 is locked again. I unlock it and it stay unlocked for 2 days. 3rd day (today) is locked again.
I mention that if I unlock it as DEMO (when i don't have s2 unlocks) it stays unlocked all the time...
Help please!

This line confuses me a bit - "demo mode" is essentially as locked as LFS gets.

If you mean that it reverts back to demo then backup the f1.xyz, f2.xyz and f3.xyz files found in your <lfsdir>/data/misc directory so you can copy them back without needing to unlock. Another trick would be to set them to read-only access, so whatever it is that is deleting them can't delete them. The final solution to finding what deletes them is getting ProcMon from www.sysinternals.com and setting it to watch those files.

Does anyone else play LFS on your PC at any time? If so, ask them if they press the license button in the bottom right of the main screen.
You don't, by any chance, play LFS from different OS's, do you? Because that causes LFS to lock itself, too (for example if you use both Windows XP and Windows Vista sometimes and launch the same LFS.exe from both OS's).
well... nobody stays at my P.C. beside me, and no, I don't play LFS from different OS (I don't have installed other OS beside Windows XP SP2)
I'll try xaotik's tricks, and I hope it will work... I'm tired to send mails to DEVS for more unlocks
Quote from xaotik :This line confuses me a bit - "demo mode" is essentially as locked as LFS gets.

by that line I mean that when I don't have unlocks and try to unlock, lfs unlocks as DEMO user
no else knows ur password do they ie a friend which there using ona diff OS causing it to lock, you or someone must be using it somwhere else in order for it to lock its self.
Try changing your password to something new and completely different than the old one. It may have been compromised.
Well, when I unlock S2, I imediatly get an e-mail saying that I have unlocked S2. I never got this e-mail when I wasn't in LFS and I never have -1 or -2 unlocks, so I don't think somebody plays LFS with my username.

I have tried second thing that xaotik told me: "Another trick would be to set them to read-only access, so whatever it is that is deleting them can't delete them." and it worked for 1 day (yesterday). I can open and close LFS as many times I want, and it doesen't lock back, but when I close/restart the P.C. LFS is Locked again.
Now I'm trying the first trick: "If you mean that it reverts back to demo then backup the f1.xyz, f2.xyz and f3.xyz files found in your <lfsdir>/data/misc directory so you can copy them back without needing to unlock."
Hope that will work.
Edit: Nope, first trick didn't work to
Do you run any sort of protection software that goes paranoid about new files being made?

If I were you I'd just get ProcMon and set it to monitor "f1.xyz" (it asks you what to filter for when it starts up, see the attached screenshot - it also has an option to monitor as soon as you boot under Options) and see what programs want to access those files.

I found the source of problem... it was a Windows problem, but I solve it.
