Quote :On Sept. 30, Yahoo will shut down the servers that are needed to reauthorize music purchased from its failed Unlimited Music Store if it is transferred to a new PC, Yahoo said in an e-mail to customers.

If you intend to follow the licence agreement you could just remove the DRM from the files with Double Twist. You dont need big brother constraints on the files themselves to lead an honest and good life just like the music barons.
Handy timing, I was about to make a thread on a similar topic matter, but I shall re-use this one...

I'm trying to find a good legal music downloads site. It must not require a monthly subscription to download tracks, they must be DRM free and ideally in mp3 format (as it would save the need to convert).

Anyone have any ideas?
I use iTunes in combination with Double Twist and an mp4a to mp3 convertor which are both free.

Finding a site that sells unprotected music files you'll be left only with independent music because the barons don't like the idea of end users having like, rights, and stuff.
Damn. So I've got to explain to my Dad how to use two bits of extra software just so he can play the music he's bought in his car? Bah.

Idiot-proof guides for the process accepted.
I am pretty sure Amazon lets you download DRM free tracks, though no idea what format.
