X-system clarification and questions
I was racing last night in the Baby-R, and a race had finished. Since the last race started, a load of new people joined the server. This meant that a few laps were added to the next race. My problem was that between race finishing and a new one starting with more laps, I didn't get any notice of the lap change and at the start of the race didn't have enough fuel to see me to the end.

I don't suppose that when a race restart happens, we can get a message that says something along the lines of "x laps have been added since the last race, check your fuel" and granted a minute or so to change fuel? I know I'm probably being really cheeky asking this, and it's just a niggle ... but would be nice

Also, my question; when a race is about to start and all the cars are on the grid waiting for the green light, if at this point the missus demands my attention () and I have to switch to spectator, does that count as a race started that wasn't finished?

Cheers chaps!

You should have seen a message 'FUEL WARNING - RACE LENGTH X LAPS' or similar.

Not sure about the spectating thing.

Hmmm, maybe I missed it then. I'll look for it again tonight. Is it in the usual "Race is restarting in..." position on the screen?

Also unrelated: I'm stealing loads of your skins, if that's OK

I can't remember whether is is a normal (top-left of screen) or RCM (center screen) message, or if it in fact appears in both places.

Help yourself to skins from my site, there's more here on the forums as well.

Appears both (normal+RCM). Never had this problem before...
You're not the only one who happens to miss the message, but it's certainly there, big enough

Just add a few % extra fuel. I always have a grin on my face when I see a guy stalled on the track in the last lap because he's out of fuel I mean, do you honestly believe that it makes a noticeable difference in your laptimes if you add a few liters of extra fuel as a safety margin?

Do you really want to know my answer? Hehe ... The reality is, that fuel does make a difference, even if it's by only 0.1 seconds in 2 laps, that's good enough for me - especially seeing as I'm constantly finding ways to better my times. I understand what you are saying though, as invariably in a race other drivers are a much bigger factor on your lap times than the fuel in your car

Several liters extra can easily make a tenth or two difference. In overall race time in CTRA's short races that isn't a huge amount, but it can definitely mean the difference between having enough speed to make a pass down a straight and not.
