We aren't meant to open any personal files unless necessary, and if it is necessary the person that owns the PC must actually agree to let you open it. Anything you do find, should be reported to the manager (NOT the Police, oddly...).

Of course what actually happens I have no idea - i.e. one of our best salesmen is not meant to kick display boxes through the entire warehouse (inc. down the stairs) simply because he's got an arsewipe of a customer who files a formal complaint after less than a minute into the sale...

If you want me to swipe 'em off the system for ya I can try at the start of my 8 - 5:30 shift tomorrow

EDIT - Personally i'd ignore illegal stuff (and pr0n), but if it was child porn (and I mean proper child porn - not "jailbait") or something that was VERY disturbing i'd probably say something...

Of course I'm a nosey bastard

If your interested - most of the work the "tech guys" seem to do is install Norton and fix overheated PC's (i.e. the P4 that idled at 90° C and I watched as he spraid compressed air in (while it was on - oddly!) and the CPU temp dropped...)

I'm a "tech guy", and I mostly find myself uninstalling Norton, because of all the problems it causes. We sell HP and Fujitsu-Siemens computers, and a 60-day version of the crap is preloaded on every one. On the pr0n/warez issue, I just ignore it.

lol we dont have to ask any agreement with the costumer, they just say if they buy a new pc that they want their old data transfered but for that i'd have to check everything if it's still accesable so something i run into funny stuff like Simpson Pron lol

The "joys" of working at the end of a faceless multinational (DSGi)

OT - I got insulted by a customer today
Quote from Jakg :OT - I got insulted by a customer today

Give the insults back to him then, I would, just don't let the manager find out, but you could always say he got as good back as what he dished out lol.

Speak your mind, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
I think he would like to keep his job. There's something called being professional, and it's usually what employers are looking for in their employees. If an employee is going to be immature and start insulting and fighting with customers, then I doubt they would want that employee to work for them.

Come back and say that in a few years time when YOU have a job that has to support you/your family...in the REAL world you have to learn to bite your tongue and try and get revenge another way.
Customer complaints are just about the easiest way to get the sack in any service industry, and unfortunately, the customer is always right; even if they are a thick-shit dipstick moron
I know it's not the way to be, if they did get out of hand, I would proberly chuck them out. I don't think I would be able to keep carm if they kept on going on.
Also why I would like to be my own boss, I know I would have to be more professional but you are then working with professionals, let the employees deal with the customers etc...
I will proberly calm down by the time I get into work because at the moment if I get someone insulting me I will give insults back.

Jakg what was the insults about?

My Dad has had people come on site (Building Sites) including workers give him grief and insults, he will give them back, warn them and tell them to get off the site, if they phone his boss up and tell the boss what my Dad has said he will just say and..... He wont do anything about it, I know not everyone is like this.
Why does employing people make them professionals at customer relations? Most of the people we employ are terrible at looking after customers. And if you were the boss then YOU carry the can, and should deal with that yourself. So much to learn 'mate'.

I'm the best at customer relations> Customer Services Unit

99.9% of complaints are directed at the product or service or lack of, but when some dick gets personal it's easy as pie to reverse engineer their questions(**** with their heads)to other more stupid questions that they can't give the answer to and just wind fed up and confused and never see any resolution to their enquiry
Must. Refrain. From. Say... ahh damn I can't:

Great first post
