Blender Wont Render Imported Textures =/
I downloaded one of the wheels from

http://kr-downloads.de/CMS/ind ... &gid=20&Itemid=29

And i import it as a .3ds file into blender but when i render it doesn't render the wheels with textures, so its just the colour they are without textures :s

I'm 100% sure that this is something Ive not set but i cant figure out what it is. If someone could help id be very grateful

Also does anyone know any websites FULL of blender downloads? Because i find it hard to find rims that work or to find scenes to put the car on.
I know theres a scenes/materials thread but thats where i got my rims from and they're not rendering =/

Thanks Migz
try to a add a blender material for it

do you mean textures, like jpg, bmp, gif etc-etc? maybe you didn't download those files or you didn't add the correct directory for it(blender can't find the file)

what do you mean by material for it?

All the textures are there, there in .tga format.

I clicked on the tire of the wheel and i clicked f5 and it said that the "TIRE.tga" was set and that was fine, but when i click the other parts their all separate, and the other files in the folder are all the parts in one picture.

Edit: Ive added the picture of the file that has all the parts in one picture.
I'm guessing i need to set this to the whole thing besides the rim. But their not grouped or anything so id have to set them all separately, and im sure thats wrong?

And I've attached something i rendered earlier only to see if the wheels worked properly. But as you can see theres no texture on them whatsoever.

sorry i'm too tired for it, i'm sure there is a material editor in blender too, there you can add your texture to the wheel
Hey, im too tierd to explain, it works for me. Take a look at my file so you can see how it's attached.

Quote from LFSn00b :have you selected the whole weel and then add the texture? not sure does that work

I cant do that because then the tire would be given a texture that its not meant to be given.

Have you tried assigning the texture to the rim? worked for me.

I've tried that, but the object comes up funny. theres normally 4 different parts.
1 is the tyre, and the other 3 are part of the rim.

In the blender file the 3 parts of the rim are all joined. But when i import it they arnt all joined. So i have to assign the texture to the 3 parts all seperatly. And then for some random reason theres a square in there too.
