the € symbol is ctrl+alt(or that alt gr)+E
at least in the german speaking countries.

It must vary depending on where you are in the world.

This is my laptop (not the actual thing, but the same model), and in this picture the '4' key has only the $ sign on it, whereas on my laptop it has both $ and € symbols on the '4' key.

Only have "$" and ";" on my keabord's 4 button, guess thats Russian Windows for you
