What is it for [frame rate limiter]?
Why does lfs contain an option to limit LFS at 100 FPS?

is this safer for your video card in any way?
no, but limiter is good if your lfs runs too fast like 200+fps
generally by limiting the frames your simply getting a smoother and more constant rate of frames.. rather than constant fluxuation.
your gpu fan stays quiet
If i have a GeForce 9600 GT form Nvidea would it be smarter to limit it?

Is the card that bad? becaus lfs stays whel above 70 fps al the time
i dont know lol
Well, as said before, limiting the FPS is generally useful if you experience high changes in FPS, let's say it goes from 50 at one place to 150 in another = bad, then you'd want to limit it somewhere in between to not get such a big sway. But if you're not noticing any fluctuations you could just leave it off.
is... that... jagerjacks? or what's-his-name ?

your gfx card is good.
i use it because lfs keeps friggin stuttering above 60fps . Either that or i have to turn on bloom mod to lower fps.
I use it to keep it below the refresh rate of my monitor. It stops tearing, and doesn't cause stuttering like vsync does sometimes.
like how? what is the refresh rate of your monitor and what is the limit you have set?

If it plays all the games you want to play, at the detail you want, at a frame-rate that's comfortable for you, then it's a good card.
