Firefox slow rendering - help?
OK, ever since I installed FF3 it's been slow as chuff. I think it's not caching images at all - every page load takes an age as I wait for all the media to turn up. Why would a browser do that by default?

Cache size is set to 250Mb, which is the same as my old FF2 installation. Any ideas?
Oh come on I thought our resident open-source anoraks would be clambering over eachother to answer this one. Call yourselves nerds? This is pathetic.

Have you tried turning it on and off again?

Obviously I assume you've tried the usual - i.e. another browser?
reminds me of a classic bash.org entry

<guy1> you've got to start finding things out yourself
<guy2> how do i do that?

Bloody bollocks... browser.cache.disk.enable was set to "false".

I didn't do it!
neat the rendering delay or rather the lack of was always one of the major reasons why i prefered ie over ff
