Point of buying s1?
Ive been playing LFS for about 6 months now and until yesterday i have decided to buy s1 and check out the new cars/tracks.

I go on to multiplayer, log in, and come to find out, theres like 3-4 new s1 servers.....I thought there would be MANY more, am I wrong? Does s2 just have tons more servers because its the latest licence? Feedback appreciated.

s2 has like 700 servers lol
i was disapointed with s1 servers but im using it as a miniture "payment" method for s2 this friday
when i refresh my server list i get like 30 something servers, is that normal for a s1 license? So if i buy a s2 license hundreds of more servers are going to be available?
S2 has hundreds of servers (literally), and about 50-60 are regularly populated (Plus the 30 or so demo/S1 servers). There aren't very many S1 licensed racers because they've all moved on to S2. There isn't much point in getting S1 and then S2, unless you really can't afford S2, and want S1 in the mean time. Apart from that, S1 isn't really of any use to you online, apart from CTRA Race 1...Best just move on to S2
It makes sense that everyone has moved on to a s2 license but i still think s1 should get some more population online. Hell with it, ill eventually get a s2 license soon enough i guess lol. I thought this thread was gonna go downhill. I'm new to the forums.

Anyways, thanks to everyone that replied, Appreciate it.
In the mean time, you should be able to connect to both CTRA Race 1 and CTRA Bump n Jump. Both of those servers have excellent racing, and it's a good demonstration of the online racing to be had in S2. Definitely worth a look anyway, Race 1 always has people on it
and the people are actually respectful!
CTRA Race 1 is an S1 server as has been said. And, it holds 49% of the racing population in your time zone with Conedodger's GTR at Aston National holding 49% of the racing population. The other 2% are spread out amongst the rest of the servers. With only seeing an average of 30 or less racers online in the US eastern time zone, that makes for very few people on other servers than the 2 mentioned.

So, you really have it good. You are able to connect to nearly half of all populated servers in LFS with the S1 license.

The US population on LFS is severely lacking. Tell your friends, coworkers, family members, and strangers about LFS and get some people to join up.
I think im gonna get s1 voucher today, even though multi is pointless it wont matter much :} gonna have a good reason to master lx4-6
i did s1 first to do a "payment" method so go and try what its like to not go reverse in an mrt lol
Told you :}
