He may be using old patch and not connecting to the internet while starting LFS ... that way he can go round the auto-updater. Or tighten his firewall or something...

Could be a possibility to because i had a look how many demo servers there are still on patch X and i found about 33 servers with all options switched on! I think all older patches (V, W, X, Y) should be banned from the master server.

it would allow more patch z servers.

it would produce more patch y racers

OR MAYBE you lot should stop jumping to conclusions..

When I was demo I used to check out my skins on all cars in the SKIN VIEWER available free for download at the live for speed site..
