No. The Large Hedron Collider could not power a lightbulb with the energy released. Although it does take quite a significant amount of France's nuclear power station reservers to run the thing - so it's like, put nuclear bombs in, get candle light out...

However if string theory is right one of the dimension spaces where matter will be created will be in nuclear energy, rest assured though this isn't the same as dropping bombs on Japan. I have also heard about this. Someone asked one of our teachers in science if it will end and he said that it deffently wont be the end of the world. They fire particles up or something make them collide and then they go and pick up some of the broken pieces etc... I don't fully understand it as you can tell and really wasn't listening when the teacher explained it.
