Quote from S14 DRIFT :I found Half Life 2 rather buggy, to the point where I'm stuck in No_clip mode and none of the commands in the world will get me out of it.

I'm quite far through. I'm in this big... house thing? And like.. I have to disable some stuff to get on the roof or something.

Doesn't really matter, I don't even play it much.

Quote from Riders Motion :What's so cool about driving a train? I mean, you cant even choose where you go.

Well maybe he just wants to know how to operate those things...

I borrowed MS train sim from a friend for a few days to see how you controll a train and then returned the game for example...

the steam engines were fun, you have to regulate the amout of steam, water and coal ratio, tank water level etc. doing the oriental express in full is still an epic journey.

or try going downhill in a Dash9 80car consist without going over speed...a mere 5mph more will get you a derailment.

I've tried BVE as well, the picadilly line was nice, the quality of the add-ons does flutuate though, and the site is slow as hell.
Around 1995, I enjoyed very much "A-Train" on the Amiga. It was something along the lines of Simcity, with a focus on train stuff. It had me addicted for quite some time.

Do any of the aforementioned train thingies seem close to it?

Yes, I admit it. I'd like a Sim City with trains game nowadays. Just before my 30th birthday.

Railroad Tycoon (and it's gazillion sequels) is the most recent I can think of.
