Pick the Formula BMW as your car. In the garage, click info, then on the right is 'volountary intake restriction' Move the slider to 45%, this makes the car slower

Oh, and might I add, being on the reserve list doesn't really mean you're a 'reserve' driver. Juat show up and you'll for sure get to race.
