Oh no! Just got back from a team building trip to find I had an email to be invited through to the testing stage, but I see that the deadline was 12pm today!!
Am I ok to still go through with the psychometric testing or is it too late?
Sam ive done all the tests , do we find out are results or is that for v1 only , and there arent any more are there , i had 4 to do , part 1 , part 2 A ,B,C is that right ?
ok I've done the tests. Hopefully will see you guys in Q1 tomorrow!
Just wanted to wish the lads that get through to Rockingham good luck! I've never driven a manual before so that would be a laugh... Can't imagine my 6th form would be massively happy to give me a day off anyhow.
Was i the only one who never saw the questionnaires? I did the 3 tests, but couldn't find anything about the questionnaires on the task list or anywhere else
I'm not sure, I'm afraid. I haven't done the tests yet myself. I'm going to be doing them at some point soon, partly for grins but mostly so that I understand that part of the selection process.
We have invited 3 candidates to Rockingham next Tuesday, based on their performance in LFS and their psychometric evaluations. It was a challenge to narrow down the selection, but several of the people we would have liked to test were outside the age-range and/or were not located appropriately for Racing Steps Foundation. That doesn't rule anyone out for the rest of the V1 Championship, though.. we still have seats to fill by Christmas!!
I can't give individual result details (please don't ask) but I can say that everybody that tested did extremely well in their evaluation. A few, I would say, were blisteringly good.
Well done to everyone that's taken part so far.. keep slogging, we've a LOOOONG way to go yet!
Yep, now that everybody has confirmed their attendance on Tuesday, I can reveal the names of the drivers (in no specific order) who will be testing on Sept 16th:-
v1rg0 - Jack Basford
DR-Kyosho - Dino Ratcliffe
Richard_Crozier - err.. guess
I'll be taking a camera on Tuesday with me, and I'll get some snaps of these guys doing the hard work around the track.
Quali today ran from 10:45AM to 11:45AM. All of the servers were opened at exactly 10:45AM and none of the servers were closed until 11:47AM.. so I'm afraid if you didn't get your lap in within the allotted hour, that time wouldn't count.
I appreciate that you may have joined late and that your server may not have started its quali session until later, but the quali period is a fixed 1 hour window.. and that window was fully open. The server WAS available for the 1 hour, whether you were in it or not.
[edit] I sound mean, don't I? Yeah, well.. bleargh!
I wanted to run 2 races today - a support and feature, but unfortunately we didn't have enough qualifiers for 2 grids
On the plus side, the full 12-slot grid is based on both qualifying time AND on participation. Usually positions 9-12 are based on EITHER qualifying time OR week-day participation. It's the first time we've had a direct match, and positions 9-12 are based on BOTH, with massive participation during the week from all 9-12 qualifiers. Here are the qualifiers. Mails will be sent in a few moments, and the website will be updated too.
