Per car speed steer reduction
I've been playing LFS with a 360 controller lately, and it works all right if you spend some time tweaking the Steer Smooth, Speed Steer Reduction and Half Reduce Speed parameters in the config. The problem is that the settings are global, when they really should be configurable per car. The Half Reduce Speed parameter needs to be quite different from the Sauber compared to the XF GTI, for instance.

Is there any possibility of making the Speed Steer Reduction and Half Reduce Speed parameters configurable per car?

Also, the maximum value of the Steer Smooth parameters is a bit too low, and it seems like an odd decision to disallow any higher values, even if the GUI necessarily doesn't have to allow you to input higher values.
... You can make them per car, by editing data/scripts/<CAR NAME HERE>.lfs and simply adding the appropriate /speedreduce and /reducehalf to the file.

Cool! Thanks
It's per speed we need more than just per car. I'm limited to a pad right now too and I really wish there was a scale that reduced the interpretation of turning depending on how fast the car is going.
If I'm doing 150mph it's reasonable to assume I'm not trying to turn a right angle corner so a half turn on my pad should be a far smaller movement than it would be if I was doing 40mph. GTR2 has it and it works pretty well there.

Right now I can't play LFS on my pad because I'm just not safe to be near other players. I want to be able to take part online but I don't want to risk running people off the road.
But this is exactly what the config options are doing. They reduce the amount of steering the faster you go.
Then what am I missing? Because every time I touch the controller a tiny amount it throws me halfway across the track. Obviously there's workarounds like reducing the steering of the car itself, but of course that ends up in disaster on the sharp bends

I guess it's possible there are problems because it was originally set up for a wheel, but I'm pretty sure I changed everything I could.
Oh wait, I understand now. These options only work for keyboard steering, as far as I know.
I'd like to see it as an option because while it would help my racing a lot it would kill my drifts. Your idea is in forza 2 as well and it works pretty much perfectly.
