Looked at it 100 or more times and I think I know what it is.... is it a car?

OK seriously, I'm stuck, I could guess at Nissan/Datsun or an old toyota.

However, there is something that seems American about it, am I getting closer? The mirrors on stems and chrome could suggest anything around 1960's - 1970's and the indicators are very distinctive! with the body shape I would say closer to 70's
