+1 to Tristan.

If I were to reincarnate I would want to be a Penguin, because they are birds, but can't fly, and they walk cool.
We just die and see black for eternity.

BTW the average age for viagra customers is 66...(not sure if it's the husbands or the wives buying it though...)

It's weird that you know that, lol that means I have 49 years left in me

and to all the post below, I don't believe in god either.
You turn into a ghost then go to heaven or hell depending on your attitude.
I was thinking about this only yesterday. I decided that either we stay "floating" for the rest of eternity, pondering shit. Or we just stop altogether, and that's it, nothing more.

Death itself doesn't worry me, when my time comes I'll go. It's the thoughts of the dying that does worry me though, all that pain and suffering and whatnot
Great topic guys for this rainy Saturday, not having the crew to go out somewhere, realy a mood booster!
jehova witnesses believe if they were bad ... they stay on the grave yard 6 feet under for 1000 years, and then come back to life again...

Oy vey you're only 17 !!, why the hell are you thinking about death at that age Go outside, find yourself a girl, get laid and leave all the worrying till you hit your mid 30's

Seriously don't waste your time thinking too hard about stuff that has no answer, just go have some fun.

N.B. didn't have a clue about the average age of viagra buyers. That was just the first number that came up in a quick google during the ad break.

Is she named: Mrs. Inflatable?

*Cough* Read my post *Cough*

Quote :, but If you want to know how it is to die, well that's another story. It seems that it is very pleasant. You seem to be pulled into some kind of multicolored tunnel while sometimes having your life literally flashing before your eyes and no, Lerts didn't told me this, I once watched a documentary on N.D.E. (Near Death Experiences) so don't flame me about "Have you spent 10 minutes in a closet with Lerts?"

Nah, I meant having to deal with being stabbed or shot or heart attack or whatever, the actual pain of dying...After that I don't mind what happens
Also, near death experiences are just that - NEAR. So actually not dead at all. I for one wouldn't count on these things happening when you die. Also, what you feel when you are dying is hugely related to the way you bite the dust... or at least that's what I think.

But concerning death itself, I have to out myself as a passionate atheist and support tristan. If you're done, it's over for good. It's not even like lights going out because there won't be darkness, as there is no person left to experience it, or anything else.

On a sidenote, I rather think that an afterlife would be quite a bore really. Spending the eternity in any place, no matter how great or luxurious, will get on you sooner or later. Additionally, you'd miss all those glands and hormones etc. which spiced your life up when you were living.
I've always thought what you might be thinking after death... If you think anything. It must be mighty boring to be lying there doing nothing for several hundred odd years .
I think a certain Mr Gump said:

"Death is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get."
When I die, first thing I'll do is come on to this forum and tell you what its like.
after you die you might be born again and don't remember anything from lifes past... i could be someone elses soul from like 1980 or something.

I'm more interested in how the world would look like if we all stopped thinking about death completely, just really welcomed it as part of life. Maybe then death, war adn disease would not be such a big seller, gets annoying with all the security and safety focus all over the media.
Well, at least, some members of my family are REALLY afraid of death, makes life tough I think, kinda like riding an MC while constantly worrying about falling... makes the ride worthless.

I think whatever was before birth will happen after death... which I ahve no clue about... EDIT: now when I read it: duuuh. But will leave it.
Quote from Sueycide_FD :What about living the afterlife as a sprit/phantom/ghost?

I might sound like a screwball but Im with Suey on this one... I won't care to explain to avoid sounding like Lerts, but I believe... actually I believe it so strongly that it borders with knowing, that afterlife exists...
noone knows
we'll all find out.
Dunno about you guys but I have some nice stuff coming with some sexy models waiting when I'm done. I'll be having lots of fun while you rot unconscious in your coffins

I mean, please

I guess tristan nailed it though. Kinda like in a deep dream where you see no dreams or have no consciousness in any way, kinda like a brain dead vegetative state. In one sense it's pretty scary but on the other hand it is quite relaxing. What makes it a bit scary is the unconditional nature and the defenative, ultimate end it is while at the same time the same "endness" makes it kinda easier to accept...

Not that it wouldn't be fun to float around as a ghost scaring people and making strange noises in the dark... or chant to sinners about their salvation and then drop bucketfuls of despair into their hands :gnasher:

9 out of 10 people die, i'm hoping i'm the 1 person that doesn't.
thing is, I believe in ghosts, having had more than a few encounters with them in my time, but I don't believe in heaven/hell/afterlife as such
