Heya, I've been making this skin today so I had something to race in.
I'm kind of happy with it so far, and I'm kinda noob to photoshop too.
Though there is some stuff missing ...

Well it's a bit empty and looks a little low res (might just be the screenshots though). All it is from what I can see is a gradient base, carbon fibre skirts and arches (which are poorly cut out round the arches), a fuzzy low res number, your name and 'that' flag.

Try make some kind of design for it, add a few decals, maybe replace the big number for a numberboard to smarten it up a bit.

The low res is fully the pictures.
Uhm the flag is for fun xD And what's with the name? It's my race name =)

Try some master skinners pro kist to with the wireframe they help with alighnment of the deecals ang graphics and such

Get yoursefl a race car u realy like and start to recreate it that what i did for my first skin
