I've also a question: if the Safety Car is deployed and someone pit, is there something like "when the Safety Car reaches pit lane entry road (Safety-Car-Line 1 in real motorsports) Exiting the pit is prohibited until the Safety Car and the line of cars passed the pit lane exit road (SC-line 2)" enforced?
And if you're in the line of cars are you allowed to pass Safety Car on the Pit Lane Entry road, or have you to stay behind it? (wich would be the best version to avoid problems like in my first question)

The rule isn't clear on that one.

Quote from onegp rules :
- All cars will be expected to follow in single file behind safety car, at a safe distance to car in front (at least one car length) . No passing is allowed.

- On the lap that the safety car is returning to pits race admin will issue a new rcm message stating "Safety Car in this lap". No passing is allowed

- As safety car exits last turn before pit entry, race admin will clear all rcms messages and safety car will accelerate away towards pit entry. At this point the lead car becomes the "pace" and can set its own desired pace, but may still not pass the safety car until it has entered pit lane - No passing is allowed until Start/Finish.

It only states you can't overtake in the queue, but it doesn't mention the pit enrty road. It doesn't really forbid it.
So how bout 'no overtaking under any circumstance while under full course yellow' ?
well, for the '09 Season of LFSCART I looked on the general Safety Car rules of the FIA, and the result was this here:

Quote from 2009 LFSCART Sporting Regulations :
22. Safety Car
22.1. The safety car is marked SAFETY CAR in letters similar dimensions to those of the race numbers on the rear and sides. It will be driven by an experienced circuit driver, who is in permanent radio contact with race control.
22.2. The safety car may be brought into operation to neutralise a race upon the decision of the race director. It will be used only if competitors are in immediate danger, but the circumstances are not such as to necessitate stopping the race.
22.3. When the order is given to deploy the safety car the message "SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED" will be displayed on the monitors.
22.4. The safety car will start from the pit lane with flashing indicators and will join the track regardless of where the race leader is.
22.5. All the competing cars must then form up in line behind the safety car, no more than five car lengths apart and overtaking, with the following exceptions, is forbidden until the cars reach the Line after the safety car has returned to the pits. Overtaking will be permitted under the following circumstances:
22.5.1. if a car is signalled to do so from race control
22.5.2. any car entering the pits may pass another car or the safety car, after it has crossed the first safety car line as defined under ... below,
22.5.3. any car leaving the pits may be overtaken by another car on the track before it crosses the second safety car line, as defined under ... below.

22.5.4. when the safety car is returning to the pits it may be overtaken by cars on track once it has crossed the first safety car line
22.5.5. any car stopping in the garage area whilst the safety car is using pit lane (see .10 below) may be overtaken
22.5.6. if any car slows with an obvious problem
22.6. When ordered to do so by the race director, race control will notify any cars between it and the race leader that they should pass. These cars will continue at reduced speed and without overtaking until they reach the line of cars behind the safety car.
22.7. The safety car shall be used at least until the leader is behind it and all remaining cars are lined up behind him. All cars must keep the formation as tight as possible, but not tighter than 2 car lengths.
22.8. From the time at wich the "SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED" message is displayed no car may enter the pit lane until all cars on track have formed up in a line behind the safety car and the message "PIT LANE OPEN" is shown on the monitors.
22.9. Competing cars may not rejoin the track when the safety car and the line of cars following it are about to pass or are passing the pit exit. A car rejoining the track must proceed at an appropriate speed until it reaches the end of the line of cars behind the safety car.
22.10. Under certain circumstances the race director may ask the safety car to use the pit lane. All cars must follow it into pit lane without overtaking. Any car entering the pit lane under these circumstances may stop for the purpose of refuelling or repairing.
22.11. When the race director calls in the safety car, it must extinguish its indicators; this will be the signal to the drivers that it will be entering the pit lane at the end of that lap. At this point the first car in line behind the safety car may dictate the pace. When the signal “GREEN FLAG” is shown, overtaking is allowed.
22.12. On road courses, the first 2 Safety car laps completed will not count towards the race distance. In the Oval, each lap completed while the safety car is deployed will be counted as a race lap.
22.13. If the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pit lane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking.
22.14. At circuits where safety car procedures are to be used, two continuous “Safety Car Lines” should be marked, crossing the track at pit entry and exit roads from side to side.
22.14.1. Safety Car Line 1: at the point at wich it is deemed reasonable to allow a car entering the pits to overtake the safety car or another competing car remaining on the track. It is also the point at which competing cars can pass the safety car as it enters the pits at the end of the intervention
22.14.2. Safety Car Line 2: at the point at which cars leaving the pits are likely to be travelling at a similar speed to competing cars on the track. A car on the track may therefore overtake another leaving the pits before reaching this line but no overtaking may take place after it.

[quote=SilverArrows77;937440]but obvious exception would be, a car cant be considered to have passed another if it has completed a quicker pitstop in pitlane with other cars.quote]
I disagree there. I think that if you pass someone ahead of you in the pits due to a quicker pitstop, it should be considered a legal pass. If the person ahead of you refuels, changes tires, and repairs damage, you shouldn't be expected to wait for him if you're only there to refuel.

That's the only exception though. If you exit the pits behind the SC then you have to rejoin at the end of the pack.

*edit* just saw the new post. That's basicaly what I'm saying. I do suggest you add the update for passing on pitlane.
I know i should read what everyone is saying as it applys to me but....
Well if you are allowed to pass a significantly slower car... wouldn't a stationary car be under that one already?
Ok. If that's the case then nevermind me. Maybe it should be reworded though.

"During SC period, passing on the pit-lane shall be deemed legal. But no passing will be allowed before crossing the pit entry line or after crossing the pit exit line."

Not sure if that was more or less confusing. =)
Is it always full course yellow, or if there's a minor crash on T1, can you cautiously pass the crashed vehicles and then continue your race? Same if the safety car is trying to flip someone over, can we just slow down at that point, and return to racing speed the rest of track?
Unless the race marshal puts out a global yellow flag you just treat it like a normal yellow flag. (aka: drive carefully so you don't add to an accident)
Hi,

Is it possible to drive as an individual entry? Really enjoyed the OWRL F1 race at KY Nat Reversed and was wondering if I might be able to enter the race on a whim as I may get to race time and find I can't be arsed. In that situation I wouldn't want to let a team down.
TBH the series is hardly full so I doubt that would be a problem - unless you take out the championship leader (tho, I v much doubt that!)

Check with deko (who I can hear coming :tilt

/me panicking !

So, I managed to relaunch the NDR and CART on what FRO had so kindly provided them to us from.

I check today, they're gone, can't restart.

And, can't get into Mazar's 500servers account.

So, I've PMed Silver asking if he can help.

I'm going to see if I can get a friend who has a couple servers in his dorn room to set up a LFS Dedi for me.

If not, I have PayPal, and will gladly accept some coin from you to purchase a server for a year (Probably a full 47-slot server) to be used for NDR. I will profusely thank anyone who would help with this if it comes to this, also. I will first turn to seeing what the NDR admin team can muster together, and if it covers a year, then we'll go for that. If not, I will ask for help to fill in the gaps.

Sorry to bother with this...I'm just a bit panicked.

I'll put it like this. I'm 15 and skint :P I would donate, but i

a) can't due to no credit card or pay pal account

b) can't due to no money

sorry
@Storm: sry, didnt know you were already in one round.

I'm going to write to someone, if he so kind to get us a server...
quiet a tragedy what's happening here.
#95 - CSF
SR might be able to loan a server for this. (Not since we are battling for the title or anything. :razz I will ask...

Deko, does that mean the LFSBC is down too?
Ohnos!

It's still a ways away from race day. I'm sure it'll work out.

If not, I may be able to donate. How much does a server usualy cost?

ATM, my debit account is completely skint, well i have roughly 10p left

I'll see what I can do Deko
yo, just bored at work and wondering if anyone else hates turn 3 on KY2R (the first long right hander).
IS that the one that leads into the schicane, and the racing line says break, roll, accell, brake, roll, accell, roll, then power out, through shicane and into long sweeping left hander?

If so then yes, i loathe and despise it.
Yup, that's the one. I can't seem to keep the rear planted when coming out of it most of the time. And if I do, I mess up the next right hander or the final series of turns lol
