G25 shifter issue: Reverse
OK, so had my G25 for a while now, and I've been living with something that's been winding me up.

About... 3 days after I got it, my push-down reverse thingy has stopped responding completely. Everything else on the shifter is fine, except it doesn't want me to go backwards.

Anyone else had a similar problem and knows how to fix it?
I used my warranty to get it fixed, however it took Logitech 2 months to get me my wheel back, which I was quite upset about. It didn't break within 3days though, it took several months of beating before it stopped detecting reverse... Also I didn't seem to have an issue with pushing it down where the gear was, it just seemed that the button wasn't detecting where the stick was.

Same with mine. Goes down and into the position fine, but doesn't detect anything.

Don't really want to send my wheel back to get it fixed either Would rather fix it myself or keep using a workaround.
If its under warranty still I would stick with sending it back rather than fixing it yourself. If you open it up warranty will be voided, and no matter what you do your screwed if you can't get it fixed for whatever reason. If it's out of warranty time than maybe that would be your best option and good luck with it but I can't really help you further down that line, just explaining what I would do, and have done in the past with the same issue
Hmm, I'll have a think about if I want to be without my wheel for a while, heh.

Cheers for the advice fella
i just fixed mine and its under warranty but maybe not now. there are 2 wires at the bottom of the shifter inside. when i took mine apart i had to fix the wires for the normal gears and all worked fine but then reverse stopped working. so i took it apart again and the 2 wires had broken off right at the clip that goes to the little circuit board for reverse. i took a little bit of the coating off the wire shoved the 2 wires back in the clip and put super glue just at the edge of the wire and clip to hold it. it works great now and its been like that for a few weeks with normal abuse on the shifter when i play. not sure if you wanna do this but its not hard. or you could wait for logitech to send new one. i didnt want to do that so i fixed it myself quick and easy.
On the other hand instead of superglue which would resist electricity you should probably solder it, it would be more properly done. Glad to hear you got yours fixed, also probably much faster than mine was replaced, however my replacement is still under warranty so if it decided to break I could get it fixed again, rather than if you couldn't fix it your out the cost of the G25.
It's a common problem, get Logitech to RMA it.
Try pushing it into down into reverse, then pulling it in sixth(While still pushed down).
