Hello drivers,
Some important points to cover before the race:
1. Race Start. The race start will be double file. However, until the last sector of the pace lap you will proceed in single file. In the last sector you will form up double file (after the oval chicane). The pole car in each class will take the inside (right) line going into T1. There are 17 cars in GT1, so there will be an empty outside (left) spot next to the 17th car in class. The #2 qualifier in GT2 should not take this space, but should line up beside the pole car in GT2.
2. Names. We have noticed that during qualifying not all drivers were obeying the naming rules. They are laid out quite simply in the rules (available here and on the site). Please format your name as follows for the race tomorrow:
GT1: 10 – P. Kempermann
GT2: 10 – P. Kempermann
Please note the first initial (not full first name) and the space between the initial/period and the surname.
3. Chicane cutting. We have had many people ask what the policy is regarding chicane cutting during the race. I'll quote our answer again here for clarity:
4. Tracker. Please make sure before the race that your drivers' lfsworld names as they appear in the confirmation thread are 100% correct. If you have to correct any of them, make a note of it so that we'll know to change them in the tracker database.
5. 45% rule
GT1: 152 laps
GT2: 141 laps
On a side note: The tracker records individual lap time starts for most racers at lap10, this means that the % provided by the tracker is slightly off.
Thanks, and good luck tomorrow!
