Glitch cannot play
When i try to play my side mirrors glitch every once and awhile and sometime my sound just cuts out ingame

also when im driving it will glitch me off the track and say ive gone the wrong way or something like that

it happens pretty frequently so it makes it really hard to play

ive installed the newest nvidia drivers trying to fix this but i have had no luck

i also have tried reinstalling the game with no luck with that either.

any help would be appreciated
Keith

also this only started happening with the newest patch "z"

What are you pc spec ?
What version of windows you have?
i have windows XP

amd 64 2.4ghz
1.5gb of ram
nvidia 7800GS
Re-install LFS... sounds the most simple solution.

Can you provide us a replay so that we can see what is going on as I can hardly imagine how can something "glitch you off the track".

You do give an awfully small quantity of information, so may I ask, is your
graphics card the AGP or PCI-E version of the 7800GS?

Whatever the version, I would recommend you try the 91.31 ForceWare drivers for it, as until now they have been the best for me in terms of reliability (not like those cards were widely supported by nVidia anyway).

However keep in mind some new games might not work properly with 'older' drivers

32-bit XP : http://downloads.guru3d.com/Fo ... P-WHQL-download-1415.html
64-bit XP : http://downloads.guru3d.com/Fo ... )-WHQL-download-1416.html

As for the 'jerking' part, do you have any other controller attached to your computer or any malfunctioning device? It could be a badly connected joypad, a printer that has gone nuts or something installed the wrong way.

I do agree with the rest, though, that it would be easier to solve your problem if you did provide more information in the form of a demo or screenshots.

Hope I have been of any help.

I thought that if your car appeared on wrong direction, maybe you had some 'jerking' problem with one of your controllers, but nevermind that.

This issue happens with the 7800 series of cards with latest drivers, I suggest you do uninstall the drivers you've got now and install the older ones I've pasted before on this same topic. I also had this issue and did remove it with those older drivers.

However, keep in mind that new(er) games might not work properly with older drivers.

Cheers

i think its funny that you mention it since i can play COD4,Americas army, and Counter strike on full settings with no glitches or low framerate...
Oh, sorry for that then.

You say it threw you spectating, but what I can see is that as soon as you went spectating everybody suddenly lagged and that is something really unusual because even as a spectator you are able to observe the race without problems. Are you sure your PC is ok? Upgrade (not downgrade since it has no sense unless a new version causes problems) your drivers and apply some patches for WinXP, if possible. Check your CPU temps (http://www.almico.com/speedfan435.exe), it might be overheating which may lead to a bunch of weird problems.
well i reformatted and now lfs works...

how about that..
So it was your windows damaged somehow, it happens now and then. Or you had some nasty background process running. Either way you are fine now and know what to do if it happens again.
