so the first pre season event of LFSCART '09 will take place at Saturday October 18th 2008.

The track will be South City Chicane Route (SO6) 1.813 mi (2.917 km)

It will basically use the Rules of Season '08. What is changed:

1st: as it is a road course for testing, it will be open for everyone. Real names are still needed. To stay in the format you'll sign up with a starting number (and with a skin).
2nd: qualifying duration set to 10 minutes, the race distance of the feature race is set to 100 miles (56 laps)
3rd: the safety car will be a RAC (to test it). The first two laps under Caution won't count to the race distance, and will be added to the race distance.
4th: Introduction of rescue cars (RB4s) wich are trying to flip flipped cars if needed.
5th: A Safety Car Period will have the maximum duration of 4 laps
6th: R4s are prohibited

Ventrillio is madentory!

17:05UTC 10 minutes qualification practice session
17:20UTC 14 lap sprint race - standing start - maximum duration of 30 minutes
17:55UTC 56 lap (total 57 laps) feature race - rolling start - maximum duration of 80 minutes

for skins I'd suggest looking at this it would make the skins copatible with the 09 season, so if you plan to start there, you wouldn't need to change your skin... but it is not madentory at this stage of pre-season testing.
