Just checked my trusty 8yr old Iiyama vision master and it goes upto 1920x1440@75hz and I can barely see what I am typing! I use 1280x1024@100hz tho.

LOL, I just found out that my Sun 21" will do 2048x1536 75hz in windows but I can't set it as a resolution in lfs. Does anyone know how to do that?

I use 1280x1024 100hz as well, it's hurting writing this message at 2048!

Thanks
Quote from S14 DRIFT :What's with the constant need to compare your FPS to his FPS etc?

As long as it's playable, smooth and you're happy with how it looks, who really cares?

The irony is, a number of people think it's a competition, even when it's not, and it's mostly not. So they feel a kind of satisfaction, but never realize the majority of gamers build systems capable of running only what they need, and not necessarily all games/apps, in their highest settings. I'm one of them, I could have built a much better system, but I decided to wait, and invest in my car, and now I have more options for building. Although I admit, if it didn't matter at all how much I spent, I'd probably re-build every year with the best hardware, but I don't think I'd get off knowing I had the best performance..lol.
Main screen runs 1920 x 1200 but I'm running LFS at something like 5760 x 1200 across 3 screens.
Has anyone seem the new top score by sparkee? I can just about believe the MAX setting one but the MIN setting looks like utter lies.

It's a shame that people feel the need to do that when it's there as a guide for others.

Its definately better to have consistant smooth FPS than sporadically super high and average at different points of the track.

Ive found the best setting is leave FPS uncapped but turn on vsync and itll match to your refresh rate automatically even tho it goes over 200fps uncapped.

I honestly believe a solid 200fps is noticably better than a solid 100fps even if refresh can only be 100 but a *constant* solid 100 is much better than it fluctuating between 50 and 200.
Quote from vari :Err...what? This poll is for the benchmark site me and Henrik have: http://lfsbench.iron.eu.org/

This has nothing to do with LFS development nor am I a developer.

Oh right, I see.

Move along people, nothing to see here...

21" CRT screen with 2048x1538

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 959NF 19" CRT monitor which is capable of doing 2048x1536@60Hz. LFS is very playable on my PC even at that resolution. Normally I play LFS at 1600x1200@85Hz.

ATI 4670 @1680x1050 max settings, 8XAA, 16XAF here!
I can hack my 17" CRT to somehow do 2048x1536. How it does it I have no idea at all, but it does :P
