Hi,

Everytime when a new Player connects to the server you have to download his skin... Since 3 days i get very big lags when i have to download the skin. The lag goes over 4-5seconds until he is over, so i cant drive with this problem.
I already installed lfs anew, configured the settings and installed the graphic driver anew.
Furthermore i analysed my system, but no difficult errors occured.

Could it be anything with my memory?

I should say that i havent w-lan and my connection to internet is very well(tested it).

Do you mean lag as in visual stutter (like, your car seems stuck for a few seconds), or that the other players lag out around you? Most people get some form of the first one, as LFS loads the skin into memory. It shouldn't be a few seconds though, just a few milliseconds

If you have a good connection, it's probably the first one. What kind of machine have you got?

yea i mean a lag as an visual stutter, my car and even the whole screen is stucking.
Normally it were just a few milliseconds, but for 3 days it is such a big lag..

Might be a lack of space on your harddrive, spyware or many other things.

I'd suggest deleting all downloaded skins in skins_x/_y/_dds or whatever and maybe clear some space elsewhere on your HD.

i installed it new without any skins and spyware or anything else werent detected ...

i have on my hardrive 3 partitions, but it doenst matters, where i install lfs, but could there anyway be a lack of space on my harddrive? and why it is only while downloadin the skin -.-
i dont wanna format my hdd..

disable skin download and u wont have lags..

but no (new) skins also...

I've had the same problem for a while now and never found out what caused it. It ruined many a good race (i reinstalled LFS, updated GFX drivers, cleared the HD, cleared out my skins folder, defragged... you name it ,i tried it)
I've just turned off auto skin downloads and turn it on at the end of each race, then turn it off again before the race starts. Not ideal, but at least no more races are ruined.
