I'm normally not one for trying to make LFS cars look like ones from real life, but I figured since I have an Integra I might as well fiddle around in photoshop and see how it turns out...
I just looked at it in game for the first time and yes, they do work. Sort of. The tails actually look almost perfect. They only light up right where the real ones do and look sharp. The headlights are a different story. The reflection on the clear cover for the headlights almost completely hides the new integra lights. Here's what I learned: when you turn the headlights on (or press flash if you will) that clear cover (or maybe just it's reflection) just disappears, making it look like the lights get brighter. The cover is shaded, making the dds file look darker when the "lights" are off. Maybe that's common knowledge... So basically to see the integra lights you would have to use a script to keep the lights "on".
Can anybody use them? because i was looking to make a race car type R and that saves me some time
EDIT: can i change it to Honda because there isnt Acura in ireland(dunno bout Europe)
More alignment work on the tails. The outer edge where it wraps around to the side is difficult because the dds file replicates itself for a small section. If you change either/or to make it line up, the other piece moves too....
Thanks again to Zach for posting those type r skins. I grabbed the badges off the side and repositioned them a little.
Does anyone know where to edit the dds file to get something to show up in the empty spaces on the outside front of the bumper? I wanted to put some OEM fogs in there, but ended up just putting the projectors on the pillars. They're supposed to go further out in the gray area (see pic)
The skins that Zach posted have nothing to do with the dds file editing I'm doing. Unfortunately I've been busy and haven't made any progress past what you see a few posts up.
