Opera is really slower if you are using HTTP or SUCKS5 proxy.
Chrome is really fastest for me on win32, on linux (gentoo btw) i prefer using Konqueror, or firefox if i want to go to l33t sites with flashes, javas 'n' other sith.

I don't have this problem with .60.. sorry.

Just upgraded to 9.60, no problem here. Maybe try reinstalling it, OP?
