So, I'm looking to buy myself an RC drift car. My only requirements are it's electric, comes Ready To Run and costs under £200.

Ideally I'd like one which I can use indoors, which led me to this HPI Micro RS4:

If I considered a 1:10 model, I've found a Tamiya Silvia based on the TT-01 chassis or the HPI E10.

Or, you raise the bar and get proper drifting going, i.e. rear wheel drive! Yes that will be hard...

I'm getting an MX5 in a couple of years when I can afford the insurance, a FWD Puma is just fine right now

does Re-Volt count?

I got Lots of Rc cars But only 1 drifter But any car can be used for drifting...

My drift car is a 8 turn brushless motor Tao4 and it does the job...
My Race car is a Tb02 with a super touring 10 turn

And I got like 6 others which we build.. ranging from ta04,ta05,ta01,ta02,tb01,tt01, and a couple of HPI's

Yeah we did it for a bit of a laugh and it is very difficult. A 4WD car is actually far better at it than a RWD car, as it's far more stable. You don't need expensive drift tyres - we just found some plastic piping and wedged it over the wheels and that did the job

To be honest, it gets pretty boring after a few goes.

I got a micro RS4 from HPI. I run it for fun sometimes in my living room... rubber tires on a wooden floor... works perfectly for drifting and is good fun!

Don't let the low prices of those models fool you tho. They come with standard parts (tires, engine, batteries, radio control, etc) and you'll end up buying all the upgrades since the standard parts are quite useless (weak engine, weak batteries, AM radio control, etc).
At the end of the day you'll end up spending a lot more than just the money for the car. Just a warning.

I also have a Kyosho Inferno GT with a Subaru Impreza body. With the standard tires (which are very bad quality to be honest) it drifts like crazy on tarmac. Tires are ruined withing about two tanks of fuel, but it's insane fun!

For outdoor use, i would suggest a powerful nitro car (way more fun, drifting won't work with too sticky tires tho). For indoor use, the small rc ones (like the Micro RS4 from HPI and all the other similar models) are perfect.

i do have a Traxxas Rustler that i put bald tires on. its a 12 turn. i don't have any money to "restore" it though. the speed control is gone cause it wore out (it cost $100), my 12 turn is really dirty (i might need a new top), and i don't have a battery. so, that's why i have a some-what like Rustler on my Re-Volt game. I also have two drift RC cars on there. A Corolla, and a 240SX S14. there are really fun, and the AI can't control them right. so, i like Re-Volt for my RC driving, that's all.

well, i have alot of R/C cars, don't really drift, but when it's wet outside, i drift with my serpent i have 3 of those 3 HPI RS4 (old editon), with foam tires, locked diff at the rear(big improvement!), now they really have good handling. This makes me wanna ride again, i'll put my Serpent 960 and 720 together, and clean my HPI's

Actually, even if it is far from realistic, they drift great.. well, mine do. It's your own fault if you can't set up your RC right for drifting..
