This thread has gone way off topic but I just have to say something here.
A knife is the most inefficient weapon in a fight where the knife has already been pulled. How would you fend someone off with a knife?
(also is this a defensive move or have you already been attacked?)
ok , ive got the best thing ever as ive decided that theres no point in arguing anymore and heres my £10, duck tape (tank tape) to cover every active participant of this arguments mouth
This is not just any online argument. This is a inane online argument between one person who really ought to know better and one who actually has a f**king clue about what he is talking about.
Agreed, I really dont see the point of knives. There are two kinds of wounds you can cause. Slashing wounds, which dont hurt, you will need stitching up later but that's later, at the time the knife just passes through and makes a bit of a hole in you - it does not sufficiently encumber you.
Then there is the pokey pokey type of hole, these are more dangerous as internal organs can be struck. If you are going to do this you need to be prepared to kill, and most people who hold a knife are not prepared to kill - even the most violent of thugs will go for the slashy slashy attack, therefore I do not consider a knives a threat when I have faced them - which is how I ended up with a slashy slashy across my face.
As with all things like this, what you would like to do, and what you actually do, depends on psychology. Asumming i'm not sufficiently suprised, shocked, scared, or blind drunk then i'd like to think i'd establish the mommentum of any hostile conflict and walk away uninjured. From experience this has not always been the case, i've won some, i've lost some. I have the scars, and an assortment of collected weaponry from assailants, to provenance both.
