Forgive me if this has been suggested already.

I would like to see the ability to create subfolders from within the garage area that you can save your sets for various tracks in. For example, make a folder labled AS1 and save all of your sets for AS1 in that folder. I am sure others besides me have quite a collection of sets and it can be confusing which one is which sometimes.
Agree
I'd also like to see the date of the last modification made to the set to be visible somewhere, and maybe the setup could also automatically store the amount of laps and the best laptimes I have driven with it...
This is needed - We only want to see the setups for the tracks, maybe also add a global folder so you can stick the easydrive sets in their....

but something is need, some people (Like myself) have qualifying sets, short race sets, long race sets.... for serveral circuits, means having to scroll through loads of sets to find the right track

I know it's more than excessive to have this amount of setups - but they are all useful!!!!
definatly needed, im sure im not alone amongst new drivers who tweak setups and end up with pile sof them and can struggle to remember which was best.

i was lucky, years playing grand prix 2 3 and 4 has taught me to number them and wth a, b ,c etc after the number for minor tweaks off the main development

er that isnt very clear to read but i know what i mean
+1,i have more than 500 settings and it s a real mess

Other games do this automatically. I'd like to see it in LFS for sure!

It would also be nice to be able to save different fuel loads to different setups. I don't like having to mess about with fuel loads all the time, or having to ask people on a server how much fuel I need everytime I join a race.

I'm sure we've all run out of fuel during a long race because we still had a 10% fuel load from yesterday's sprint racing, just as I'm sure we've done some UF1 sprints and wondered why we were so slow, only to discover the fuel tank is 80% full... At least the fuel load could be car specific - when I fill up the UF1 and then go and drive the LX6, I don't see how the fuel teleports to the LX6 tank

I just had an idea. Perhaps - after a few laps (more than one) - LFS could estimate how much fuel you'll need to finish the race based on your fuel consumption...? A built-in fuel consumption calculator/estimator doesn't sound like it would be a very difficult thing to implement, but then I've never programmed a sim (I've only ever programmed a VCR tbh). But perhaps some bright spark could make it as an addon
Agree with this - it's a real hassle keeping track of various setups. An automatic filtering system based on the file prefix (as with the skins for each car) would be handy. When the physics are fixed and undertrays are dependents on ride height and locked differentials don't work then most people will have to throw away their setups anyway and start again, so implementing this with a physics update would be perfect timing.

In addition it'd be nice to see changes being made to a setup and having to save the setup manually. The automatic saved changes as you rejoin the track means it's far too easy to bugger up the "original" base setup you're refining or making variations of, only to have to go and download it or get it sent to you again.

yeees
agree totally I have the same problem going through 100's of sets, just to grab my cadet setup for GP.... could never figure out why I overrevved on the straits :nut: :faint: =P

Control center for setups would be super...maybe like this (i need more space for my FOX because "Reached maximum numbers of setups" ><1!! (1 on purpose^^))

After you click the small S (for setups ), he ask for your settings and your personal informations.
Track: <Trackname> (ex.: AS1 he understand Aston Cadet, KY3 he understand Kyoto-Ring GP or u type in Aston Club .....)
Your setupname: maybe: Longrun, Sprint, Mainraceset...
Received from: Name
Version (when you copy setups, for example)...version 1.1 or 2.5 when u make a lot of setups (more space for sets )
The setups should be sort by Name, Data or Autor

Sry for my bad english (o:
