What a positive attitude to start a thread with. What you give is what you might end up getting

Btw, my PC can't playback the download without stuttering and making the video unwatchable. Any chance of a non-preview stream?
I enjoyed this. Well done.
#4 - dadge
any chance of getting that layout? video was good (compaired to the usual crap that's floating about)
I enjoyed it too,
nice layout, nice car mod, nice car sound, nice skin, nice song, nice cameras all nice i likes
Thanks for commenting everyone, far better reception than I was imagining. The layout is on one of the drift servers with the blackwood autocross track, I don't remember which server it was, sorry.

NotAnIllusion, just out of pure curiosity, how fast is your pc? I tried running this video on a 2,4 GHz P4 which ran it without a hitch. Maybe you are using some inefficient media player? I'm not planning to render any lower quality versions anyway, the high quality is what makes this video what it is.
P3 1GHz, no ram and no gfx card ;( Won't play properly on WMP, TCMP, VLC etc.
Nice job man, but kinda got boring after halfway...
Well, I was expecting Toni's triumphant return, but not this time.

Here we go

1. Syncing appeared only halfway through the video
2. Camera angles got very repetative really fast
3. The whole video is basically 1 car on 1 track showing the same corners over and over again, you should have made it better with different camera angles and some fast paced editing, or at least sync the whole video to the music. Not enough different types of action, and the one shown is good, but not worth a "wow"

It's a clean video, yes, but it's not what I'd expect from a person like you, after all Summer Ghosts video still is one of my Favs, and it beats this one easily on every point... I mean, it's just like looking at kindergarten level hometask brought in by a PhD Graduate... Sorry mate, but it's a miss for me...
I don't make videos to please others, I create them for my own fun and education. I had fun while driving this, I had fun while editing this. That is how I do. If you didn't feel entertained, that's too bad for you. I still had my fun and that's all I care for. Without this short little video, I would still be clueless how to use motion tracking and speed blurring.

Of course, criticism is always noted, but I don't plan on changing anything on how I create my videos just by what anyone on this forum (or any other for that matter) tells me. Everything you mention I already know. Syncing only part of the song is totally intentional. Syncing same parts of the song over and over is repetetive and un-original.

My old Summer Ghosts film was a total failure in my eyes, it was all about dull video effect tricks and none of the action. Short videos such as this one that I create in less than a day please me much more than any other previous several month project.
Nice
Well, thats a nice one

or in other words "noted and overruled"... bad approach if I may say so

I know you do... but why don't you use your knowledge is beyond me

Crossing you off my "best LFS video makers" list...we lost another one...

In my opinion, a bad movie made by newbie, made with 100% of his abilities is better than a good movie made by a good movie maker done with 50% of his abilities...
Hahah, whatever you say mate, I don't really care either way. Having fun while making my videos weighs more to me than trying to get oh-so-mighty reviews on this anti-drift board. If all you do is create videos just to try to get the best "reviews" to them on a gaming forum, I think you are seriously missing the point of it all. That isn't something I consider very fun, more like a job from which you get no payment other than a boost up to your inner-ego, if you are one of those shallow persons.

Like mentioned, I take criticism for noted when it comes from someone I actually respect and look up to at video creation, without mentioning any names here. If the criticism comes from someone whom videos I consider mediocre at very best, I usually give them the common nice reply and pass their thoughts politely to the trash bin.

So, why don't I use my (outdated) knowledge to fill my latest videos with effects and eyecandy? Well, let's just say why bother? If LFS would actually get some new content which is interesting for us who prefer mostly going the corners sideways, that might motivate me a bit more to do so rather than driving around with the same stuff from three-four years back. Until then, it is purely a gigantic waste of time trying to mask a pig to look like a beauty contest winner, so to speak. Modern games like GT5P and FM2 look better than LFS can ever look with all the possible video editing tricks planted on top of it, so it is quite frustrating and even more so, pointless to blow away days worth of time by adding silly effects in some couple minute LFS videos.

Now, you can disagree with me as much as you want, and you can freely continue this discussion with this friendly and chatty period I am offering you right here -> .

Anyway, enough of this pro-master-video-maker-history-ego nonsense and back to the video at hand. I'm very glad if some people find this bit of a clip entertaining, which some of them seem to do, it is a nice bonus feeling in that sense to me. Having contributed entertainment for even a part of the community.

I wouldn't be sad one bit if everyone would find it boring, because it was propably the most fun and educating 20 hours of video editing I have ever done.

Why is it always the drifters who alwas b*tch and moan like little whiney brats about "how they are being opressed by this forum" when nobody even mentioned that they don't like drift?

Well, I see you became quite a pompous ***
Good luck...
