No CTRA Layout on FE Green on SS1?
For a long time, CTRA's FE Green had a modified T1 which made it slower and tighter. I quite liked it because it was another spot to overtake and because it didn't seem to cause as much first-turn mayhem as the normal layout.

Recently though it has gone, leaving us to once again unrealistically slam over those curbs.

Why was this done? Are there any plans to put it back in? Why was it only placed on FE2 and not FE2R? IMO FE2R could benefit from it even more because it would give us at least one overtaking spot. FE2R is perhaps the worst track in the game as far as overtaking spots go. There is only one braking zone of significance, and it is preceded by that 'chicane' which funnels the cars into single-file.
Totally agree on the layout issue. It was really good. Not only does it provide a good overtaking spot,it prevented the complete lottery of touching the left hand curb, which has a 50/50 chance of sending you on a space launch.

iirc a lot of girly types didn't like it because "it caused accidents" It doesn't cause accidents it you don't hit it would be my response to that.

^^LOL. Funny because it's true.

But given some of the 'unique driving techniques'(ex: like late braking from 3 or more car lengths back) associated with any of the entry level servers I can see where the lack of layouts can help. At the same time if you apply the lottery theory to no layouts the effect can be worse when accounting for the higher rate of speed combined with 'unique driving techniques'. I would like to some other layouts though.

Catch 22......

For the most part it seems FE2r always finding new ways to wreck you and Satan lives under that bridge with the wicked physics.

Oh man, I know about that. That damn curb jumps and out and bites you just enough to send you slightly wide and into the bridge wall on the outside, and because of LFS' wonky collision physics, you fly into the air and do a triple barrel roll off the circuit. Or into another car, as I have regrettably done a time or two. Not quite quick enough on the shift+S.

Anyway, can a mod please weigh in on this? SamH?

Stu's already pointed out that after an awful lot of complaining on this forum, the additional layout objects were largely removed.
Who complained? I shall slap them all with a trout.
