Ok so I went to re-install AVG because the link scanner isn't working propperly, and I get this error no matter what I try to do.

Since this is my computer, I have full administration rights, and would work fine.

I recently got infected with the Brastk.exe virus, which I removed by using the Brastk.exe virus remover, since using which I've had no anti-virus alerts regarding the infection.

I'm guessing it's either bad luck, or something do to with that virus?

Anyway, cheers for any help I may get.

Try a check disk test (not sure how to start it - just seemed to do it automatically for me). I had a registry problem the other day and that fixed it.

Another good thing is to run "RegSupreme" followed by "RegClean"...
