Letter in The Metro today
This letter to The Metro (a free newspaper you get in a few cities in the UK) made me laugh today:

Quote :
Can we please get this Lewis Hamilton victory into perspective? Holding a steering wheel and pressing a foot pedal does not make you a sportsman. I'm sure, given the right car, even Ronnie Corbett could win a Grand Prix.

I take it this guy has never even driven a car before, let alone a racing car?
Send a reply along the lines of

"Can we please get this <insert name of player here> victory into perspective. Holding a cricket bat/tennis raquet/javelin/handlebars/kicking a football [delete as applicable] does not make you a sportsman. I'm sure, given the right equipment, even Ronnie Corbett could win the Olympics/FA Cup/Ashes/Tour de France [delete as applicable].

Tell me who the hell this guy is. So I can kidnap him, take him to a race track, let him behind the wheel of a race prepared Porsche 911, and demand of him to drive a lap atleast .200 faster than the track record.

Eejit.
The email for their letters page is [email protected] if anyone feels like firing off a reply.
Just leave it. It´ll make you look like a tit as well.

"Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."

or

"Arguing over the Internet is like competing in Special Olympics. You may win but you´re still retarded."

Makes you feel better though...
It amazes me just how clueless this guy is. He probably thinks that driving an F1 car is like driving his Rover down to the shops

I think that he is just so unaware of everything or is so bad at driving that he doesn't realise just how fast F1 drivers are driving, and how much skill it takes.
It's the physical abuse the driver withstands during racing, your arms ache, your head is pounded and your neck burns like a maddafakka

Much like getting your faced raped by your horny girlfriend, then.

What the ****
LOL BOB

But that's stupid, but the Metro is read by retards who go to work on trains, so no-one really is clever enough to read in the first place.

Wasn't it Ernest Heimingway who once said that Mountaineering and Motorsport are the only true sports, and that "the rest are just games"?

Isn't the Metro free? Well I always find it dumped on the seat on trains, I wonder why?

I once got trapped with no paper in the toilet on a train, but I didn't fear as I had a copy of the metro with me.
