Learning to drive with LfS :-)
Hehe: http://www.kleinezeitung.at/na ... /chronik/1623031/index.do

Short translation in english:
A nine year old japanese boy takes the car of his parents and wants to drive to his grandparents. He knew how to drive because of his love to racing-games.
The police was alarmed by a pedestrian who thought he'd see a car without a driver.
The police found the car perfectly parked in front of a store where the boy asked for the way.

If he really learned with the BF1 in LfS then RESPECT!

Haha, that made my day

cool
If it was an auto, I could understand learning to drive in a video game, but if it is a manual, that really doesn't work as the clutch control in LFS is numb.
Wow...
Hah, that's awesome It reminds me of a local news item. A 15-year old boy stole a bus from the bus parking lot, and drove it around town. He stopped nicely at each bus stop and all. He was just as good as other bus drivers, except for the fact that passengers didn't have to pay. Source.
I wish that wouldve been me.
Quote from P5YcHoM4N :the clutch control in LFS is numb.

'Tis.. I find that you need a lot of revs to be able to pull away without stalling.. or nearly stalling

But I think LFS can help with the basic theory of changing gear... like when I first drove a car my gear changes were fairly good for my first time, thanks to 6 months of being an LFS n3rd
But it definately wasn't LfS which the boy used, because of two reasons:

1) He wouldn't have set in on german
2) I happen to work for that newspaper and it's pretty much the only racing game picture we have in the archives, as it was taken at the Intel's BMW thingamy.
Quote :"I'm sorry, I just wanted to go to my grandma", the boy said

What a legend! I'd probably have an accident if I tried driving to my grandparents house on my own, much respect
