i havea problem with my steering wheel
"Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Wheel (USB)"
It only works on the bmw sauber car and the padels wont work.

Does anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

Does windows reconize it? and have you configured it correctly?

Some wheels need calibration. When you havnt done that, then i think that u must do that.

Are there drivers for it? Have you set it up correctly in game?

the steering wheel works without any problem, i can see that the pedals work when i press them down in controll options, but the problem is i cant put them as the accerator button.

anyone have a clue waht i need to do?

And the most strange thing is that the steering wheel only works on the bmw sauber, but on the 2 other demo cars i only see the rpm go up, but i cant change gear or acculurate

Sounds like you need to put the axis down correctly and make sure you have your pedals ticked at "combined" in LFS.

I thought that as well, but gave him the benefit of the doubt.

If I understood correctly, the problem is he is trying to configure axises as buttons, it wont work.

You need to go to the axis menu in the controller options and assign them there.

And for what I know, the MS Sidewinder has an option for separate pedals, so in Windows control panel/control settings you have to check that accelerator/brake pedals are set as separate axis, not as combined.

Cant say anything sure about the gearbox problem, cause I myself use H-pattern shifter in "normal" cars, but if I can recall correctly, just be sure that the flappy padels are configured right in the button menu and in player menu your gearbox is configured as "semi-auto" (auto-clutch on, auto-blip on etc.).

You on XP or Visa? The wheel isn't supported at all with Vista afaik.

With XP you need to have the sidewinder 4.0 software installed for pedal axis seperation.

Though why it only works with one car is beyond me.

If you are on XP and have the sidewinder software installed then i suggest reinstalling LFS before you try anything else.
