Everything you mentioned (performance issues aside) sounds the same as the criticsm against MW to me. Now, I greatly enjoyed MW and Carbon. They were fun for a thrash about. This game does sound to me to be a lot like MW, as mentioned. I might actually check it out.
It looked like it was going to be a good follow up to NFS Most Wanted, but it seems like they have actually made a worse game than NFS ProStreet. I've seen many reviews, and decided not to buy the game based on them. When IGN gives a game 5/10 you know it has to be pretty crap.
ok you guys convinced me not to buy this

see i was right
Still, you dont buy NFS games for realism. I acctualy like it even tho the cars stick to the ground like magnets, and a stock 240SX can outrun a Lamborgini.

It's a good change from the other games!

Forget realism, NFS Most Wanted was a fantastic game and got really good reviews, and that was not at all realistic. The game just needs to be reliable and enjoyable, if you enjoy it nothing else matters. From what I've read and seen it looks like a buggy game with little thought put into it. It seems like they spend more time on their fancy trailers than on the actual games these days.

*cough* EA *cough*

There aren't many bugs in it. Just the slightly slow FPS rate and the sun going across the sky (which is quite funny!) It's still enjoyable which is why I like it. There is alot of thought into the range of cars and storyline put into it...
speedway: that's what i wanted to say, agree with you almost in everything.
Only soundtrack is still good. (except for few songs)

Veyron handles like 4WD btw.
If I want lots of cars and a storyline I would go and watch the films that I keep in my "Awesome films with cars in them" section of my DVD collection. I want a fun arcade racing game that includes police chases and an online pursuit mode. I don't want some smart blurred silicone bint telling me I have to go and infiltrate a gang of male models to find out why the government employ undercover agents based on the size of their breasts.

I have enough trouble trying to play a fun adventure game with a bit of puzzle solving, without looking like a massive perv because the main character has gigantic tits that bounce everytime she so much as blinks. So the last thing I need when I boot up a game is to have someone explaining the importance of wearing a seatbelt, when she clearly has no concern about not doing so, because she has installed two forward facing airbags in her chest.

It's starting to annoy me, actually it is annoying me, god knows how the women gamers feel about it. Mini rant about the portrayal of women in computer games over.
It's the type of game, ATC.

If it were a game such as Viva Pinata, it wouldn't be there.

Girls are part of the whole tuning scene, so in a game like this you'd need to expect them to be there. I'm sure most girls wouldn't mind, because a) it's just something nowadays that's getting more and more accepting (being a slut for a magazine/poster/newspaper or something), and the fact it's a game
I gave up on NFS.
I liked NFS Porsche since it had some nice features.
I hope NFS is just done now, and that they will make a new MCO type of game or Sims+Gta thing.
I mean, sims+Gta is just the ultimate combo for years now, why not make one?

Please NFS, be dead.

NFS is dead, like you said, NFS Porsche is kinda the last somewhat decent one they made. The NFS series 1 to 4 were great. But ever since the fast and the furious rage kicked in, it had to be about tuning, silly bodykits (luckily they didn't make it mandatory again). But the Underground series were shit, they weren't NFS... I played them, but didn't feel like I was still playing a sequel to the older ones.

NFS should forget about the kiddy ricers, and go back a little more to its roots.
Can anyone make a reasoned comparison to Midnight club LA?.

All reviews I have read of NFS undercover have been pretty bad, the videos I have watched have been pretty dodgy, the fact that there is no cockpit view (when MC-LA does) puts me off.

However, I REALLY enjoy(ed) NFS Prostreet, and do enjoy arcade racers.
NFS > Midnight Club.

For me, anyway. Midnight Club was just too busy on screen, and it made me feel sick after about 10 minutes. Besides, the AI were twats and you would never have enough money to do anything.

So, NFS it is
I can't decide between those 2 myself. Those are both the kinda games I'm interested in. They each have their own stronger and weaker sides. NFS has a great range of cars and good storyline, but feels incomplete. MC:LA has sweet graphics and a interesting soundtrack, but not much put into the storyline.

Like I said, these are my favorite genre of racing games. I'll just say get both. These keep me happy for a long time... If MC:LA didn't freeze all the time.
I just saw it has a mustang gt500kr. I'm sold. I would kill for one of these in real life. Then i would make it into a kitt replica.

you really do love that new KITT do you?
Quote from G!NhO :you really do love that new KITT do you?

Yup. I dunno why. It must be the appeal of the mustang. Oh and Deanna Russo isn't too bad either :P
Im amazed, a Lamborghini performs better on gravelroads then a Mitsubishi Evo

i do like it because its a mustang but the "attack mode" is a little bit too much for me...
Well it is a fun game even with it's weird physics. Feels really fast.

Had a taste of a Scirocco =P

If you're worried that there is not a cockpit view AT ALL, there is a hood cam.
