I just started building some auto-x courses for some extra seat time in the off season and noticed something ... no matter what, if you bump a cone you get a 2.00 penalty. I've looked for a patch or something to address this but came up with nothing.
Has there been any thought in to setting up the penalties to mimic the SCCA SoloII timing rules? Pointers are free and the cone must be out of the box or tipped to count against you.
It's common to barely bump apex cones and just "wiggle" them without a penalty, but it's impossible in LFS. I find myself going back over replays to recount penalties to get my "Real" time for an actual event.
And, on another note, what about something similar to timing lights for autocross events? This would allow more realistic starts and also allow for data gathering for autocross runs. I do understand that this would likely require modifying some stuff pretty deep in the code and is very unlikely ...
Anyway, thanks for considering.
