On my own?!
Ok, to start off, I am 18, I am currently in a millitary academy and live there, But in two weeks I am done with it (December 13th). I will have my high school diploima from it and that makes me happy...But On january 6th I move to pennsilvania from florida. I will be all alone and live by myself in a dorm, Ive never been away for long other then these 6 months at camp. I have One family member about 45 mins away from where Im moving. But im not really sure how to stay strong on my own, while Im at school and supporting myself???

Ok, so what I was wondering is how did you handle it? If you have been in a simaliar situation!
I was never out "on my own". I was at my mother's house helping her out until I got married....

Just curious, where at in PA?
With plenty of hot ass.

Just be friendly to people, make new friends A new start in a new place is something good, IMO.

Blairsville, Ill be going to wyo-tech!

(Lol I see your in western PA, Thats where it is)
Consider yourself lucky for getting a new chance to do things right this time and yet eventually messing things up just the same as earlier.
Don't worry about it so much. It's not really as hard as you might be imagining right now. Especially since you said you're going to Wyo-tech, you'll be fine. I'm sure you'll make a lot of friends, and that should take away the feeling of being alone, if you know what I mean. Good luck mate!
The first thing I do when I move to a new home is, well put the kettle on if i'm honest, but after that and i'm all unpacked and have put my own curtains up and things, I take two of the cheapest bottles of wine from the super market around to my neighbours and say hello. The next thing to do is check out whats on locally, which is a good chance to take up a new interest or hobby.

In your case you are moving into a place with lots of other people who are in the same position, and you've done it before when you think about it at the academy.

College is a great way to put off starting your real life and delaying childhood a few more years, its a chance to find out what your favorite alchohol is and understand the effect of recreational substances, and very ocassionally cram in a semester's worth of work into 2 late nights. These are the best days of your life, enjoy them.
I messed up should of got A's-B's in GCSE's instead got D-B's mostly C's. Atleast you got another chance and wasn't as immature as i was back then, didn't listen to anyone, a reason i think the school leave age should be 18 or make it compulsary to go to college, at 15 your too immature to decide, in some cases the rest of your life, you've got the chance, grab it with both hands.
You'll have a blast. I'm not necessarily an outgoing person most of the time, but if someone talks to me I can hold a conversation.

When I first moved into rez a few years ago I was nervous, too, but I had an absolute blast. You'll enjoy it, don't worry.

[EDIT] Oh yea, I don't know what the Wyo-Tech caf situation is like, but if it's half as bad as my school you'll want to buy groceries.

Yup I've been there, done that. Moved 200 miles away from home to go to uni.

You're going to be fine. For a start there will be the people in your classes that you can potentially make friends with. Quite a few of them are likely to be in a similar situation as you, so they'll be looking to meet friends too.

As far as supporting yourself is concerned. Do you have an income from somewhere? your parents going to help out? or some kind of grant/loan from somewhere? If not then I suppose you'll have to try and find a job. But the college/school should be able to point you in the right direction for that in terms of where to look at least. Either way the thing you'll need to learn is to budget your money, it's really not that hard it just means working out what you need to spend on food/transport/books etc and only spending what's left over on having fun.
I see, ok i got that ima like it either way so thats good, well in about an hour i have to leave, back to acadamey for 2 more weeks...!

Also makes leaving hard having a seroius relationship with my GF, anyone done that and gone to school...I know long distance might hurt it!
I know I'm sort of taking this for granted, but surely you have an internet connection?
Timo...Most likly, I am in the process of finding a laptop, so that I can study and stay in contact!
Long distance relationships are hard work. I've been suffering one for the past year. I recommend an ample supply of AAA batteries, or whatever floats your boat.

AAA bateries???? Why?

And ya its hard but we truly care for each other!

Well this will be the real test of that. Best way to look at it is this:

Try and keep it going and just accept that if it doesn't work out then it wasn't to be, but if it does then that's a good sign for the future.

lmfao, long distance relationships can be a real strain/pain, but when you finally return, the wait is more than worthwhile, Kinda like just after you have had an argument and make up
ya this will be a real test of that!
Well good luck with your GF... It's really painful to give up because of the so called distance...

Well I had a blast last night with some friends, they live alone and they say that It can be hard (laundry, cleaning, food... lol) but they say it's really fun!

You have to see their condoms collection rofl.

LoL at the AAA...

Nah, the real laugh comes a month later when their full drawer of condoms is empty. It's hilarious how fast you can go through those things.

Gave me quite the chuckle as well

But what do you guys mean about the AAA Batteries?
just hop on vent... we'll keep you on track

Doing your own laundry didn't turn up to be half as bad as my mother made it sound when she threatened me I'd have to do it myself when I behaved not so well as a boy ^^

Also, I found that I really like cooking. For you americans: cooking as in buying fresh ingredients, cut the to the right size, mix them up and heat
them in the appropriate order, etc, NOT just putting something from the fridge in a microwave :P

All in all, living alone can be great, as long as you have a few friends to keep you company.

And for your girlfriend: you'll just have to wait and see. for some, long distance relationships work out, for some they don't.

We'll tell you when you're older

I didn't know Fleshlights used batteries either.
