Urrrrrghjhh! It was in that style, but I swear it was worse. Actually worse than that. Can you imagine?

I had a really crappy blood donation session too, I think my whole forearm is going to be one big, black bruise tomorrow. I'm blaming whoever made that record.
The lassies in the office are really enjoying this at the moment.

I'm not

music? have they even started in that video? it sounds like all they do is tuning their instruments
Yeah I know, ain't it great?

?

.
Quote from Riders Motion :Screaming and pig squeals (inhaling) are part of hardcore so too bad for you!

Well ive always seen Pig squeeling and inhaling more around what I see as the Grindcore genre...but I dont listen to stuff "That brutal" (if youd like to put it hat way >_>) and interweb cant be trusted to find this stuff out

I dont mind inhaling aslong as its not like constant...but teh breebree's arent my thing

Either way, Examples: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=MFtM3fWdS_k

Imo blast beats were more of a original Grind core thing and they have thought there way slowly into the other genres, and I realise that song has at least some inhaling in ... at least alot of his lows have that sound but its not like constant so I think it suits it

More examples of music I listens to: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=qX0-BKfmYPo
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=wKxtvgXmP0A (Im not quite sure on the genre of that, I suppose to a extent bits of it COULD be post hardcore? But I dont have a clue realy)
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=g6aNV_xKSto
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v= ... XeOkU&feature=related (I dislike the great scene kid views on bmth <well there old album at least, not a fan of the thrashy stuff> as whether oli is a good screamer or not, I love his voice.)
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=mZMSf3p78bQ (Im not sure on his voice tbh )
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=JBHNiebX2Mo

And ofc I listen to different music aswell, but ohwell.

To make this post "ontopic" most of you will dislike this music

Edit: Does anyone have a clue which is going with avenged sevenfold atm? I know originaly M shadows (vocalist) was more of a deathcore vocalist but then obviously a7x went a different way than that but some of theresongs seem to be heading backwards as in some have his (horrible) screams in and even breakdowns here and there

Edit2: Au links ftw?

But I love this stuff.

I wonder if Clinic ever listened to that. I like it but like most things bordering on virtuoso and experimentation, I sense it could get annoying very fast.

I don't think you'd call Arto Lindsay a virtuoso, but he is a very interesting musician.

These days he's dropped a lot of the noise stuff for more of a Brazilian sound, there's a wonderful band of his called the Ambitious Lovers- their first album 'Envy' is really fantastic. He was also in the Golden Palominos (again, the first album is great), the Lounge Lizards... hmmm, lots of stuff.

Check out these Youtube vids, gives an idea of how his style has changed over time. I really like the last video here, I've not seen it before tonight myself.

It's weird, I used to have dreams where Arto Lindsay would be showing me around New York, like a tour guide almost.

I've not heard of Clinic before, but I recognise their sound, I must have heard some of their songs before.

OMG this is getting weird

One of their songs was in a Levi's commercial, another was used for the Mentos candies (but because of the gibberish lyrics some thought it was a french band). Distortions is much more melodic and a bit radioheaddish to me - The first few EPs and LP are pretty good if you ask me, though much less cutting edge and easier to listen than what you posted.

Chickadore to all

The chorus reminds me of The Velvet Underground's Femme Fatale/I'll be your Mirror.
What's with all the Leona Lewis hate? There are far worse pop singers.
Quote from zeugnimod :For example.

Katy Perry is an awful singer, too. Her songs (well, the two songs I know) actually aren't bad but her voice is terrible. Same for Rihanna.

Wow, how dare you say that. She has a really good voice.

But obviously not everyone fits into the box of opinions that any one person has.

Btw Shotglass has won the thread, that song is terrible.

To me, this is just a very weak voice. Just ignore the stupid "show" around it and concentrate on the actual singing. Like in the third video. You can't tell me you think that is a good voice.

This on the other hand.

Ok well, you picked live songs, which are crappy anyway, by definition, live performances are not as good as the studio songs - especially at 'concerts'.

Go listen to Disturbia, Rehab, Unfaithful (studio version), Hate that I love you ft Neyo, etc and etc. She has a good voice. And yes, I do think.
