Quote from breadfan :Are there any usual-real-car-based tweaks? I'd like an XFG made into a 2001 Skoda Labia (I mean Fabia) 1.4 litre TSI.

Or something more insane like the Bugatti Veyron. Is there anything like this to be found?

Hi, Skoda Fabia with 1.4 TSI although it´s not a real car as Skoda doesn´t produce it with this particular engine yet can be made with the latest tweak, but not really exactly because they achived a nice broad powerband that can´t be reproduced with tweak even with the weaker version TSI with just turbo, not mentioning the turbo+compressor version...

And as for the Veyron, no tweak was ever able to make a lfs car with 16 cylinders, because LFS is probably limited to 12 cylinders. You are able to reproduce the aproximate power of it, but again, not the exact powerband.

Quote from Driftfun :I want to know what's this

hehe, looks like a rwd UF to me...

Is Keiichi Tsuchiya the guy called The drift king who was showing the basic 6 techniques of drifting in Drift bible?
At least 3 of them techniques can be used for drifting a fwd car. Dynamic drifting, power lift of technique and braking into a corner (not e-braking).

Quote from ciph :Update (2.1)

Thanx for the update ciph works perfectly for me. I have one request, could you please try to find the "cartype" value, so we could at least change to super tyres if not the tyres size. Because it´s a bit frustrating, when you can make more powerfull cars, but can´t keep them on the road ya know. (i mean specially the GTI and GT that are engine modable)
Thanx again for your work.

UF, XRT: Engine size unknown, can´t add cylinders
XFG: kills LFS-Tune
XRG: max 2.0 litres, can´t add cylinders

The only thing that is working is engine shape on XRG and drive train type.
Please ciph keep it tuning

Quote from Breizh :Not that much fun unless you change the rear trailing arms to something more adaptive.

It´s actually quite fun to make such setup for a rwd XFG or UF, I took it as a challenge to make a "race car" with that configuration. Going round 200km/h with a rwd UF on its standart tyres if faqin scary
Wooohoo

IIRC, the blinking efect is just when you make too deep centers of the rims in BeSpoke for example, no need of this shouting realy
OOS error
wak

I researched a bit a and the error occurs only when
FXO is changed to AWD
RB4 to FWD ro RWD
FZ50 to AWD
and only when you move with car, if others (AIs) start and I wait, the replay is playin, only the first move forward or backward cause the error. It might be some problem with drive train limitation

oops, then why just sometimes..?
OOS error

Did anyone get an oos error during a replay with tuned cars? Not sure how to replicate it, because sometimes it happens and sometimes not when I try to replay a race with me and a few AI´s on any track. But everytime it happens 3rd second of the replay..
Not a big problem, but sometimes just when I want to watch some funny situation it doesn´t work.

btw, big thanx for the TUNEr ciph, looking forward to the updated version you teaser

Nice one! I really liked the head turns from the cocpit to see the ruined situations. "phew, I passed"

Quote from BloodRoses : This, in fact, further proves how close to realistic the LFS engine physics actually are. The M3 and Ferrari's (in general) create positive pressure with the induction manifold. The end result is a forced induction like effect, without the use of a mechanical turbine. The Honda S2000 also does this, among many others.

Yes, this is actually very nice, how they use the pressure from valves movement and reach this wonderfull effect in the manifold.

The longer I was experimenting with the Tweak the more I loved the realism of LFS engine

Quote from Bob Smith :
I didn't think to check the other cartypes. 0.143 for road cars, 0.19 for race cars, 0.1 and 0.16 also used on karts. The range of values seems too large for fuel?

And you do think it is something else than simply general power value..? You probably know, but I have to ask.

IIRC, there was this value for "General HP" in the old Mekanic..
If it´s not powerband, what other value could be needed for adjusing torque..

Have you done some testing, how does it affect the torque in comparism with how does it affect the power (if either)?

I think your setup is set too stiff and too low and therefore is a bit jumpy. I would make the suspension definitely softer, somewhere around 170 rear, 150 front and use a higher travel.
Why did you use a locked diff? This feature spins me everytime I release the throttle
I will try to modify your setup and post it here later if you´re interested.

It´s a pitty the present Tweak doesn´t have the "flywheel weight" as it was an essential value to play with so as the "powerband width" and "redline" when modeling some real cars.
Judging from the lowered value of the GTT I was firstly thinking of the "General HP" value as a Compression Ratio changer but the VE seem realistic. But I remember modeling a few BMW M3´s and Ferrari´s where I had to exceed the value of 1 as these highly tuned engines have some superior efficiency.

Quote from peace112 :is it the car, in the game, ore is it the set in tweak?

It´s the setup you adjust in the garage that needs changes when playing with tweak. Try playing with Final drive and gears to go faster

it´s not that easy now illegal, have you tried your link? The search results either link to official LFS page with patch X or to some which doesn´t exist any more. It took me a while to find this
http://rapidshare.com/files/27 ... LFS_PATCH_U_TO_V.exe.html

I searched the phrase : LFS "patch U to V"

yep, here is mine fwd monster and a bit better time
I did not expect that the most tuning would need the gearing...
I can post the specs or the tweak if someone wants to try it

As for the V5 engines, the only mass production cars with real V5 engines (developed from VR6 2.8L, known from the times of Golf MKII crosscountry) are VW´s 2.3L with 2 or 4 valve technology. They are in Golf, Bora/Jetta and Passat models. Other car makers like Volvo, Audi and some others use inline 5.

My Ferarri F50 tweak with proper setup coming soon..
