Had a rift for a while, and finally decided to knock up a rig to see how it runs in this game.
well 2 laps down and i'm done, son had a go and he didn't even last one lap.
im wondering if people have tweaked setting to help with the triggers of sickness.
im fine down the straights, but as soon as i clip a kerb or get into a tank slapper i instantly get nauseous.
hahahah scirocco, that will get released when the real car isnt even in production anymore.
you would have to admit maybe your release schedule is a little shit when an in game item is announced but only released after the thing its modelled after has been discontinued.
we will all have hover cars by the time we get another decent release.
the other hilarious thing, i said my son would son graduate before we got S3, he graduated last thursday.
and its not even really S3 its a track. so i reckon he will finish high school and be in uni before we get s4.
plus he already coding, so i'll probably just get his to write me a better game in unity3d
seriously £12 and no guarantees. looks like your game plan and customer service are taken directly from EA, the architects of screwing the customer over.
made the mistake of S2 based on promises, wont make the same mistake again.
steam would means more people buying, more cash for more adding some coders rather than one person puttings in a few hours every so often when the mood strikes, so you know, maybe we could get a finished game by 2020, which i highly doubt it.
at current development speed, we will have a man on mars before S3 is released.
i would have preferred m$ at least they are a hardware company, and whatever you say about the company, the hardware was always top notch.
they have the know how, they have the experience, they have the connections, that have the factories in china.
pretty sure it already has gone on for years. My second child just started her first day of real school. she was born the same year sirocco was announced along with the new tire model.
not sure we will need that tire model once we have hover cars.
as much as i enjoyed the game at the time, the sad fact is Scawen's talent didnt match his dreams and just as i said 3 years ago, its west racings all over again.
i only come back every time i get a birthday email, and shock horror nothing has changed.
like i said before, this has all the hallmarks of the west brothers racing legends crash and burn.
feature creep, trying to program something out of your abilities, too much attention to crap that doesn't matter, little to no regard for fans and supporters. the updates get further and further apart until you would assume the programmers have died.
new forza is being pimped and i'll bet it will be out before lfs gets even an update, dont even worry about S3, if that ever happens i'll eat my duke nukem box. its vaporware, cept for the fanbois.
i now have two kids in school, i think i only actually had one child when the scirocco was promised. i expect them to have graduated colledge before i see the vw at the current progress rate.
it will be a normal day, cept you wont need to work cause robots do it all now. you wont need a car, teleporting now works on more than an atom of light and you will probably be living on mars in your body that doesn't age.
I'm not sure you're familiar with the whole west brothers and racing legends fiasco. you sound like fanboi's of past who insisted good work takes time.
They too triumphed the quote, its done when its done. as accurate and succinct as the word FAIL is, it doesn't even come close to that joke.
lfs current development, its coders contempt for its fanbase, all bear the same hallmarks of west-racing.
bwahaha, i love the assumption that work is actually being done.
its racing legends aka west brothers all over again.
it was a great idea but its now pretty obvious they are in over there heads and can't or are not capable of taking this to the next level to keep up with other sims that are already far better.
two months away from this thread being a year old and still no scirocco.
my daughter wasnt even crawling when it was announced, now she has her own little car she speeds around the house in, i'm sure i'll be buying her a real one before we see a release.
give me a deadline and hit it i might consider it. picking random dates and then releasing nothing and spouting cliches of its done when its done and i'll keep that 20 and buy a 6 pack.
a cold beer has more to offer me at the moment than the devs.
as much as i hate twitter a simple 140 letter entry once a week could alleviate a lot of the crap on here. its the arrogance of trying to pass off no updates on not having time that pisses me off. its not lack of time, its lack of respect for customers that means you ignore them.
in case you missed the whole miss the release date issue, the scirocco was due to be released over a year ago. hitting deadlines isn't on top of the list of things that happen, hell i don't even think its on the list.
thats the thing when you work for yourself, everyone else can just go to hell and kiss your ass on the way past.
so don't go holding your breath for a patch, and learn to be disappointed it just saves so much time.
well you're american so excused again for missing the dig hidden in the cricket jibe.
its not your fault.
i also fail to see how you can lyfao when there was nothing intrinsically funny about my post. your lack of wit and boring rhetoric is about the only humor here.
and i'm not to sure what is cliché about dropping in once in while to get some news and the odd post. maybe you need to look the word up, thats a cliché and ironic given my past post
your funny, no really i actually really really laughed out loud.
6 months and still no scirocco, based on that timeline my unborn kids can prob buy S3 from the money they are earning in the jobs they will have.
ok, the thing isn't flawed, but an important part of the equation has a flaw.
and its not just cold tires, its hot tires, tires spinning in 3rd gear in a car with power that in real life would only chirp into second, the transition between loss of grip and retaining grip, tire temperatures, drastic loss of grip on worn tires. i could go on about the tires, and they are all little things, but together are a flaw you really cant overlook and when you drive a vehicke on the track in real life on a regular basis those little flaws feel like a big deal when you come back to having some fun on a computer.
forza is by no means perfect, it is dumbed down, but like i said the feeling of realism is there because it reacts how you expect it too. you can slide a car like in real life and the car regains grip during a slide like it is supposed too. thats a big deal and way more important to me that an accurate damage model. i try not to crash so modeling how a car should drive after i do is kind of pointless. yes it is fun now and then to just push way to hard and see what the car will look like when you barrel roll through the sand pit, but i'm not going to contiune to race in real life after doing that so i probably wont try on a simluation either.
for me forza just feels more realstic, it may not be a true sim, but turn all the aids off and it provides a suffient challenge i can enjoy and behave in a realistic fashion. it may not have all the under the bonnet stuff going on, but its the end product i'm judging.
i hope the next update is taking so long because the maybe the sirrico didnt drive like it did in real life and those problems needed to be addressed.
cross fingers, i like live for speed, i just hope it can keep up with the new stuff that is coming out. it had been cutting edge when it came out, but its now looking dated.
